Pearce retirement speech, new TNA show, Neville update, NXT/Smackdown lineups, Interviews with Hawkins/Natalya, another GFW event set, Hogan at live event, and Questions on WWE booking, the App, and NJPW commentary

Here's footage of Adam Pearce's retirement from in-ring competition. It was kind of ambiguous what his future is, but I hope it's training people in NXT.

TNA will air specials about its greatest matches on Destination America. That's good, I guess. It does remind viewers Sting and RVD aren't there anymore, though.

WWE is working on a main roster gimmick for Adrian Neville. It's been said to call to mind Mighty Mouse, who was small but very strong. That's a pretty old reference. I hope whatever they have in mind accentuates Neville's positives. I think putting him in a mask or something and getting over on his moveset is probably the right move. Count me cautiously optimistic.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Set for this week's NXT:
- Finn Balor and Hideo Itami vs. The Ascension
- Charlotte with Ric Flair vs. Sasha Banks with Becky Lynch
- The Lucha Dragons vs. Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger
- Carmella vs. Leva Bates
- Baron Corbin vs. CJ Parker

There could be some pretty good action there.

Set for Smackdown:
- Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler vs. Big Show and Seth Rollins
- Rusev vs. Dean Ambrose
- Ryback vs. Kane
- Naomi vs. Alicia Fox
- R-Truth vs. Adam Rose
- The Miz vs. Jimmy Uso

I look forward to some of those matches, too.

The former Curt Hawkins did a Timeline DVD on the year 2008 in WWE. Should be cool.

GFW will be working alongside South African promotion World Wrestling Professionals to put together a show on Feb. 28, 2015. That market will be an important one for GFW. I'm curious to see how GFW will work out.

Natalya talked about Total Divas, the brass ring, and more. She's done a lot of great work over the years in WWE.

Hulk Hogan is set for the WWE live event on Dec. 27. Will he be in Santa garb again?

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Honestly? If there was more support for what people complaining do like (Ziggler, Ambrose, etc.), and less "Vince is an idiot. This is the worst show ever" stuff, I think things would be more likely to change. Because if "Total Divas" is more of a draw for the company than NXT, and a lot more Reigns and Cena T-shirts are sold than those for Ziggler or whomever, Vince is going to continue to listen to what those fans tell him and ignore the vocal minority who live and die by the "dirt sheets". So, yes, there's hope for fans. But the fans who actually spend money on the product are going to take priority.

2. Cena's being built for Brock, Show's being built to put Reigns over, and Rose is already pretty much a jobber. Vince actually acknowledged Rollins as grabbing the brass ring. So, while I'd like to see other names elevated, too, realistically not every younger name is going to go over the established names. How about focus on Ambrose vs. Rollins headlining HIAC, Ziggler winning the main event of Survivor Series, and Wyatt vs. Ambrose headlining TLC? Perspective is important.

3. Can Team Hell No ever shake this comedy role? Can Kurt Angle ever shake this comedy role? You get the idea. Of course he can. It just has to be booked right, and the fans have to show WWE they're behind Mizdow to the point he'll actually draw the company money.

4. That one was pretty good. They should bring back Teddy Long and have the fans vote for various forms of a tag team match.

5. I do think it could open up the claim of a conflict of interest. We already know he's a big fan of NJPW, though, so I doubt it would change things much.

More wrestling tomorrow.
