DeMott fires back, new TNA set, more TNA signings, another big charity, another TNA return in the works?, big Reigns interview, Smackdown audience, and Questions on Piper as WCW Champion, Alex Riley, Brutus Beefcake, pushing Cena, and Extreme Rising

Bill DeMott responded to the controversy surrounding him on Twitter. Some of what he said was recapped here. In order:
- Whether DeMott has an issue with Prichard has NOTHING to do with Prichard's thoughts on NXT and the accusations.

- DeMott's kind of, sort of right about the Stinkface incident. It was something the talents voted to do rather than something he forced them to do. Still, it doesn't look so good for him to go through with it.

- You don't have to be racist or homophobic to make those kinds of remarks.

Bob Ryder posted pictures of the new TNA set. I'm not really a fan. I'm glad they've got something more creative than WWE's set, though.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell has signed a new deal with the company. She's been quite the asset there.

Update: MVP has signed a new deal, too. I hope he does get a World Title win in his career.

Mick Foley is doing another big charity raffle for WM31. It's cool he's moved from thumbtacks and chair shots to Santa Claus and charity.

D'Angelo Dinero is teasing a TNA return on Twitter. Whether that will actually happen remains to be seen. I'd love to see it, if he's still got the magic from his last run there. He really should have been TNA Champion. I don't know why he wasn't.

Roman Reigns talked about WM31, being booed, his promos, and more:
- Generally the World Title should headline the show. There are some cases when that's not the case (Cena vs. Rock comes to mind), but it should certainly headline this year.

- He didn't get as much criticism as part of The Shield. I do think he's working pretty hard, and has since he's come to the main roster. I agree he's not antagonizing the IWC, which I appreciate.

- I think there is something to someone "deserving" a certain spot from a fan's perspective, based on how hard someone's working and how good fans think someone's performances are.

- I do think Reigns (and a number of other stars) could be better if given more leeway to improvise. It depends on the performer and the writers doing the material.

- I'm surprised no fan has tried to hit Reigns during that entrance.

Smackdown dropped to 2.58 million viewers this week. That's more than 100,000 viewers down.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I could only imagine a company trying that in 2015. That could really blow up in someone's face.

2. I agree not using him as a wrestler is a missed opportunity. He had a real connection with the crowd, and like seemingly so many others, that fizzled when the company didn't capitalize. At some point, a talent's so off-the-radar there's no need to "bury" them further. So he probably just fell out of favor and remained out of favor rather than there being a continual de-push.

3. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHIN', BROTHER! Yeah I don't know, either. WWE must not think names like Beefcake and the Nastys are important enough to ever bring back. I would like a cameo by Beefcake at some point if there's a hair vs. hair angle.

4. No clue!

5. What they said. I completely disagree about him not being a good wrestler, though. In fact, he was known for that before the rapper character ever took off. Hard work, charisma, being the right guy for the company to promote... all those things came together.

6. I wouldn't say it's as out of the realm of possibility as, say, Punk coming back to WWE or Benoit going into the Hall of Fame, but I'd still say it's a pretty low chance.

More wrestling tomorrow.
