NXT live event notes, LOTS of WM press and notes, Interview with Goldberg, big guest for JR, and Questions on WWE on NBCU shows, Summerslam AXXESS, Perro's passing, elevating talents in retirement matches, and the future of Goldust

Rapper Wale and Jim Ross were in attendance at the NXT live event in San Jose. The latter had a front row seat and got big chants. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but it is great to see him attending a WWE event.

The NXT live event brought in more than 4,500 fans, with speculation they hit 5,000.That's really impressive!

Here's a list of quite a few WM31 interviews. It's a really big day for the company.

WWE has new T-shirts for all the new WWE Hall of Famers. That's pretty clever!

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

NXT results from AXXESS:
- Finn Balor beat Baron Corbin
- Tyler Breeze beat Bull Dempsey
- Hideo Itami beat Jason Jordan
- Adrian Neville beat Kalisto

Seth Rollins and MVP visited the ROH show this weekend, while ACH was in the crowd at NXT's live event. I know ACH is a name fans have brought up as wanting to see in NXT, so that could happen someday.

Here's part of a Goldberg interview. There was definitely heat on the WCW guys coming in to the WWF environment and a feeling the new guys had to pay their dues or what have you. I'm under the impression Goldberg was seen as having too high of an opinion of himself and treated accordingly.

Daniel Bryan talked about his health, not being in the main event of WM31, and more. Bryan does need to be careful with his moves after that big injury. He's taken a lot of bumps, and that's going to adversely affect him.

WWE.com put up a lot of WM31 interviews. I'm excited for the show!

WWE has a feature on making the Ultimate Warrior statue. I really want to see it fight the Andre statue...

Paul Heyman talked about whether Reigns is ready and more. This interview should sell the PPV for anyone who was on the fence.

More Hulkster interviews, jack: Here and here. He should win the Andre battle royal next year at the biggest WrestleMania ever. Not really, though.

John Cena talked about potentially retiring and more. Just when I had forgotten about that spinner belt.

Here's a look at Bray Wyatt from before WWE. I really want to see the idea someone pitched of him recruiting The Ascension as their NXT personas. It's not like they're doing anything else.

Samoa Joe joined Jim Ross' one man show recently. I don't know if that really means anything as far as his chances of going to WWE, but I'd sure as hell like to see it!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That's a good question! They should get on that.

2. No word yet. They're still putting Summerslam plans together.

3. Not much to add here. I don't see why Rey would be held liable for what was a total accident. I'd like to think WWE would immediately stop the match once they knew what was going on. I think Manik and Konnan just assumed Perro was knocked out and tried to "wake him up".

4. I think Flair and HBK had earned the right to choose who retired them. I don't think it would have meant as much if they had lost to up-and-coming stars.

5. I think they can finish the feud at Extreme Rules if WWE thinks there's enough interest. Otherwise, we could see the final match in the feud on TV before then. I largely suspect we're almost at the end of Goldust's run as a wrestler and ending this feud is the only thing left for WWE to do with him.

More wrestling tomorrow.
