Another WWE titleholder hurt, Interviews with Balor/Khali/Show/Heyman/Cornette, Liger update, Stone Cold at Summerslam weekend, more ROH Philly matches, TNA press, more added to Summerslam, former ROH star update, and Questions on Vince+KD vs. NXT, Magnum TA as a heel, fans at the HoF, NXT-NJPW, and DDP in the HoF

Nikki Bella is nursing a back injury, hence her not being in action this weekend. I assume she'll still work Summerslam, though.

Finn Balor talked before Takeover:Brooklyn. Will this be the most attended NXT Championship match so far?

The Great Khali talked about life after WWE. I think he did some real good in spreading awareness of WWE in India.

Big Show discussed how often we see him om WWE TV and more. I think he deserves a lot of credit for how long he's lasted in the business, and I'm glad he's not just trying to soak up all the spotlight while he can. There's still a place for him; they just need to use him better.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Jushin "Thunder" Liger is currently only booked for Takeover:Brooklyn. This was an independent booking he took due to his friendship with William Regal, so any rumors of WWE/NXT working with NJPW seem unfounded at this point.

Paul Heyman talked about Lesnar vs. Taker. That's definitely a huge match.

Jim Cornette discussed leaving the rasslin' business. It has been healthy for him to do so.

Stone Cold Steve Austin will be involved with WWE during Summerslam weekend, presumably for promotion of WWE 2K16. Although I'd certainly love to see him square off with Brock Lesnar after Taker goes down to the F5.

Added to ROH in Philly:
- ACH vs. Caprice Coleman
- ReDRagon vs. Dijak/Diesel
- Moose vs. Watanabe vs. Page vs. Ferrara

I mean, Philadelphia is known for recipes involving vanilla.

The Hardys will be at a Charlotte baseball game to promote Bound For Glory. I'm interested to see what they'll be doing at that show.

Robbie E is promoting TNA's January European tour. Obviously some wonder if those will be TNA's last dates. We'll see.

Randy Orton vs. Sheamus is official for Summerslam, as is Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev. I expected a mixed tag for the latter. Maybe at Night of Champions?

Former ROH name Tommaso Ciampa denied reports of injuries. He's recently worked for TNA, GFW, and NXT. I'm interested to see what his future holds.

Jon Stewart has been announced as the official host of Summerslam. It does feel like Mania-lite in some ways.

ESPN will have a special edition of Sportscenter Sunday morning outside the home of Summerslam. That's really cool!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'd like to think Vince is just happy it's doing so well and is willing to let his presumable successor continue to do things his way. Vince should have his plate full with other duties and not have the time or energy to focus on "developmental." Honestly, this is something where we're going to have to wait and see how things go.

2. A good question, but one we'll never know the answer to! I do think there's something to be said for not turning someone just to surprise people. Fans need heroes they can count on (until said hero is no longer resonating enough to remain a draw).

3. I wonder if fans were ever like this before they could "get over" (get attention) for their actions. Cheering is one thing, but some people at those events are just obnoxious. Sadly, now "the customer is always right." They're the workers and the promoters/wrestlers/etc. are the marks.

4. Beast in the East succeeded because it was live WWE action featuring a big NXT Title match and BROCK. LESNAR. Only a small pool of people want to see NJPW acts (how many WWE fans knew Finn Balor as Prince Devitt?). That said, NJPW is teaming with GFW and ROH and they're lower in the pecking order than NXT. It might still be the "minor leagues", but it's more AAA league than A or AA.

5. They might just not be in a rush because he's healthy and on good terms with WWE. They could save him for later. I also think it won't be long before he goes in (as he should).

More wrestling tomorrow.
