Superstars Reax - 8/28/15, NXT preview, GFW guest, WWWF name passes, new tag match for ROH show, Smackdown audience, worry about next week's Raw, NXT in TNA territory, Summerslam edit, Sasha note, and Questions on Disco Inferno, Cena holding Charlotte back, rebooking the Alliance, and a new monster heel

Superstars:
Xavier Woods on commentary should be amazing.

- Ryder vs. Slater:
Good match for the time it had. I like both performers, and miss seeing more of Slater in particular.

- Ascension vs. Matadores:
This is pretty good so far. They have enough time to really tell a story of two teams trying to win. The Ascension are doing it with power and strength, while Los Matadores are using their speed and agility.

I'm not a huge fan of Torito, but this was fine overall.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

This week's episode of NXT will include matches from the Dusty Classic tag team tournament including Baron Corbin/Rhyno vs. The Acension. Also on the show will be Alexa Bliss vs. Blue Pants. I'm looking forward to seeing Apollo Crews again personally.

Kevin Nash will be part of this weekend's GFW events. They've had a pretty good run of legends being part of things.

WWWF star "Professor" Elliot Maron passed away at 64. PWInsider.com remembered him.

The Briscoes have an open challenge for the Sept. 18 ROH iPPV. They're actually not as unlikable as most ROH acts. I wouldn't mind them in WWE.

Smackdown's audience Thursday night was 2.20 million, down from the previous week. The show just doesn't feel "must-see" these days. All the important stuff happens on Raw.

There's speculation of WWE being unable to hold Raw this week due to a strengthening tropical storm. They're currently still scheduled to have a show in the arena, but time will tell.

Triple H has teased NXT coming to Nashville, Tenn., which is of course where TNA is headquartered. I mean, they already run in Orlando regularly. I wouldn't assume WWE/NXT is trying to "run TNA out of business," although I'd imagine there are some names there they wouldn't mind having on their own roster in some capacity.

The New Day's hilarious version of "Empire State of Mind" has been removed from the VOD version of Summerslam. That's a shame...

There's nothing to the rumors of Sasha Banks being hurt. She just hasn't been used as much on the main roster. It looks like the cracks in the revolution might be showing.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. He worked backstage in TNA for a time alongside Russo and co..

2. UUUGGGGHHHH. I hate the anti-Cena conspiracy theories. Nikki has certainly pushed to keep the title past AJ's reign, but that's about it.

3. That could have made things more interesting, although I don't know if Jericho would have been seen as a top name by the WWF faithful at the time.

4. Braun Strowman, Rusev, possibly Bull Dempsey, possibly Erick Rowan... I like Harper, but I think he works better as "big guy who can really move" than unstoppable monster heel.

Nothing to add to 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
