TNA No Surrender preview

Read on for how I'd book tonight's TNA special (in a world where TNA isn't already booked up to Bound For Glory).

Basically, I'm keeping kayfabe here in that none of these matches have happened yet.

- Kim vs. Dollhouse: Let's just have Brooke come out to help even the odds so Gail can pin Jade. Gail resents Brooke's help and we continue circling the drain with the same old players in the Knockouts division.

- Drake vs. Galloway: Drake shows us he's good, but Galloway is that much better. They can continue the feud if they want. Maybe Micah joins Drake and says Galloway was trying to steal all the glory in The Rising?

- Bram vs. Anderson: Bram is slightly less uninteresting than Anderson, so I guess have the former Ascension member bash Ken with a turnbuckle so hard he thinks it's 2006 WWE when his gimmick was still interesting. Anderson does make sense as a future challenger for EC3 if they want to go that route. They could have Bram be the impasse for Anderson to get through before earning the title match. Yeah, I'm bored just thinking about it.

- Aries vs. Spud:
Originally, this was going to write Aries out of TNA. But he returned at the next set of tapings, neither stipulation ended up being committed. So, the booker's hands would be tied as far as booking a decisive ending.

Spud gives Aries his all. Aries hits a low blow to cause a DQ when it looks like Spud might surprise him. I think if they play their cards right, they could have Spud believably take the title from EC3 at the UK tapings in January.

- If there's room for a sixth match, have The Wolves beat up some cardboard cutouts of MVP and Hernandez. Cover up their faces with black tape and don't actually name them to avoid any legal issues. Might as well get something out of the angle they didn't get to air.

- Full Metal Mayhem: EC3 shows his hardcore side with a win. I personally love the "put the ladder on your opponent's throat so they can't stop you from climbing" move for a heel to win. After such an underhanded display, Jeff Hardy's music plays and he stares down the champ. If TNA taped September's shows in September when Jeff would presumably be cleared to compete, they could more easily set up Jeff vs. EC3 at BFG in North Carolina. That's the obvious direction to go, and for good reason.

More wrestling coming up.
