Dish customers to lose ROH?, ROH to Japan, NXT and WWE live event notes, ESPN to cover WWE, and Questions on Corbin vs. Joe, ORTONWINSLOL, Cena vs. Rollins, and Vince using the N word

Sinclair channels were briefly dropped from the Dish Network lineup after an agreement between the two sides expired. ROH told fans they could still watch the show via other official outlets (including DA if they had the required channel package).

Update: The two sides have signed a short contract extension. Dish customers can still see ROH on their local Sinclair station for now. I'm often quite critical of the product, but there are fans of it who wouldn't necessarily be able to see it through other legal means. So, I'm glad it might be resolved.

ROH will run shows in Japan in 2016. Obviously there's overlap between ROH and NJPW already.

Update: The plan is to partner with NJPW for a tour of two or three shows in early 2016.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Here are results from this weekend's NXT live event. I wonder when we'll see some of those people debut on the WWE Network show.

Update: Here's a more detailed report. I think I enjoy seeing these names progress more than seeing some established names do more polished work.

Chris Jericho defeated Kevin Owens at a live event this weekend. Y2J replaced Cena. It's great to have someone like Y2J in an emergency capacity. I don't know what they'll do when he hangs up the boots. Maybe that'd be a good role for someone like Mark Henry or Kane? Obviously they don't have the finesse Jericho has, but they know how to get things done in the ring.

At WWE's other live event, Ryback returned to the ring in a Summerslam preview. NXT's Bayley lost to Sasha Banks. They might have used Bayley because the other two factions were on WWE's other show. Well, that and to get them both ready for Takeover. I'm excited for Bayley to take center stage in NXT's Divas division.

Jonathan Coachman indicated he'd be covering Summerslam for SportsCenter. I'm glad he's doing so well post-WWE. He really made the most of his role there.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. The phrase is "work in progress," but that's not super important. The end result should be in line with the long-term goal of getting Baron Corbin ready for the main roster. Him losing could be the setback he needs to do something fresh after so many squashes.

2. I feel like both get too much hate these days. Cena in particular is overused, but I wish people would turn their attention to the performers they do like instead of focusing on the negatives.

3. Cena would still be owed his rematch for the title, but U.S. Champion vs. WWE Champion for both titles is more intriguing. Cena's a BEAST for finishing that match, by the way.

4. Nope. That was Mr. McMahon the out-of-touch old white guy character trying to fit in with Cena. It wasn't a malicious comment made by WWE CEO Vince McMahon off-screen in a real conversation. There was some backlash when it happened, but nothing like what's happening to Hogan.

5. Considering only a fraction of the audience even knows what ROH is, it'd be like the Brooklyn Cyclones coming out to challenge the Yankees. Awful idea.

More wrestling tomorrow.
