Summerslam guests, Taker hurt?, more from Amell?, Raw guest, Summerslam press, Raw returns and debut, what happened after Raw, and Questions on Sasha vs. Bayley, TE, more main roster people in NXT, Becky Lynch's gimmick, and Hogan returning to TNA

A number of NJPW stars were backstage at Summerslam. They were in the area for ROH shows that weekend, so nothing too groundbreaking there. I wouldn't assume WWE and NJPW are going to work together in the near future.

Melissa Joan Hart was also backstage at Summerslam. They had Jan Brady on Raw. Why can't they use her at some point?

A number of NXT performers and all of the remaining TE cast watched the action live.

Pat Patterson and Jey Uso also attended Summerslam.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Jon Stewart specifically asked to do a segment with Mick Foley, hence him being brought in for the show. WWE's relationship with Foley goes in phases.

The Undertaker was rumored to have been injured at Summerslam after seemingly collapsing following his match. It's entirely possible he was selling the beating he took from The Conqueror Brock Lesnar. I don't expect him back in the ring soon either way.

Update: While Taker was banged up after the show, he went straight back to his hotel before flying back to Texas. He was originally scheduled to be part of Raw, but plans changed at some point. I don't think they needed him given the other big happenings last night. I'm curious how long it is before he's back on WWE TV in some form.

A lot of wrestlers were impressed with Stephen Amell's performance at Summerslam. There's been loose talk of him returning to face Stardust in a singles match down the line. Maybe at Survivor Series or WM32? Would the latter be too far out for it mean what it should?

Linda McMahon was backstage at Raw. I can only imagine what Vince wanted his 70th birthday party to be like.

Stone Cold, Mick Foley, and Lita talked about Summerslam. The springboard stunner needs to go. Even if it wasn't botched fairly often, it's not all that special of a spot given how it never looks like it could give Cena the win.

The Dudley Boyz made their presence known at the end of New Day's victory on Raw, attacking them and jacking jaws with PTP at ringside. I don't know how much they've got left in them, but hopefully it will mean good things for the tag team division to work with the sure-fire future Hall of Famers.

Sting also returned at Raw, attacking Seth Rollins and holding up the WWE Championship to set up the main event of Night of Champions. That's definitely a big match. I hope it's an exciting one.

The new member of the Wyatt Family has worked a number of NXT live events and dark matches as Braun Stowman, but not the NXT TV show. I'm excited to see the big hoss add a new dimension to things.

After Raw, Triple H talked to Renee Young and made Rollins vs. Sting official for Night of Champions. If Taker's facing Lesnar at WM32, I wonder who Sting faces.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It was really good, as was Sasha vs. Becky at the last special. Both are going to be remembered for some time.

2. Honestly, the show would be really boring if it was all people who were strong wrestlers. Some people would rather see characters over the actual technical wrestling.

3. We'll almost definitely see more main roster names work NXT, and probably some more people like Joe and Rhyno, too. It's its own animal in some ways. WWE making use of some of the people who weren't doing much on the main roster (Emma, Sin Cara, Zack Ryder) has helped NXT and the talents themselves.

4. It's something those damn millenials are into. They didn't have that kind of crap when Moolah was champ, DAMNIT!

5. Given the financial state they're in, they'd be insane to even consider it. Even if there wasn't the PR crisis of doing it.

More wrestling tomorrow.
