Superstars Reax - 8/21/15, Total Divas vs. another top reality show?, Bryan Q&A, Interviews with Coachman/Austin/Rollins/JR, ROH taping notes, more on ROH-NJPW, more on Summerslam weekend, and Questions on TNA as a major promotion, Angle's TNA status, Flair appearing with Hogan, War Games, and Cena as 15x champ

Superstars:
I think Adam Rose has really run out of steam. It's time to either pair him with Slater and/or Maddox/Kingsley or just go in a completely different direction with his character. He's basically spinning his tires right now.

- Rose vs. Axel:
Yes, I still laugh at the idea of a team called "Axel Rose."

Not a bad match overall to re-establish Axel post-Axelmania. Honestly, I think I can live with Rose as a low-level intimidator in spots like this.

I wonder how the Ascension feel about being left out of the tag team title match this month. And the PPV as a whole!

- Truth/Fandango vs. Ascension:
This one's starting to pick up. I like it.

Fine match.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Natalya challenged the Kardashians to a tag team battle. DEAR GOD NO. I'm sure it would get outside attention to WWE, but I could also see it driving current fans away.

Daniel Bryan did a big Q&A at WizardWorld:
- Lesnar vs. Bryan would be absolutely amazing. This needs to happen someday.

- The Knee Plus is a pretty lame name. Why draw even more attention to the B+ nickname.

- Bryan vs. Angle would be awesome if both their bodies would be intact when it was over. WWE's crazy if they don't roll the dice with Bryan again.

- Pleasantly surprising to hear him address Punk.

- Really interesting to hear his health updates and WWE's reluctance to clear him, with a WWE rep in attendance. I hope WWE Management views that as ballsy and gives him another chance.

Jonathan Coachman talked about covering WWE on SportsCenter and more. That rib was absolutely crazy.

Stone Cold talked about Summerslam and more. I'll be disappointed if Taker beats Brock clean after the tear Lesnar's been on.

Seth Rollins talked about his title reign. Pretty good thoughts about his role as champion.

Jim Ross made Summerslam predictions. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the possibility of a third Brock/Taker match.

Shaheem Ali vs. Jonathan Gresham kicked off ROH's TV taping in Philadelphia. Ali trained at the Monster Factory.

Brutal Bob Evans had a protege at the event, who was run off by Cheeseburger and Bushwhacker Luke in a dark segment.

ROH announced The Addiction vs. The Kingdom vs. The Young Bucks for the ROH Tag Team Championships as part of All-Star Extravaganza. I can't wait to see how inflated the "star" ratings for that one will be.

ROH will run two shows in Japan in February, NJPW stars will be part of ROH's 14th anniversary show, and we'll see more ROH-NJPW shows this May. So, the two sides are even tighter than they had been.

Daniel Bryan is in town for Summerslam weekend, but Sting has left for an appearance in Chicago. They really blew it by not having Sting be part of Summerslam.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That's an interesting question right now. They still produce Impact Wrestling obviously, and just announced more live events. But they don't really have the level of reach they had during the Spike days. Given the restructuring they just did on contracts where most everyone is there on a per-diem model, I'm seeing them as something resembling an indie. What will really be telling is what happens as far as Impact's status as a TV show. I think that's really the last thing putting them in the "major" category, though fewer than 500,000 people watch it each week in the U.S. (not counting DVRs, streaming, etc.).

2. I really hope the end game of TNA vs. GFW isn't Jarrett vs. Angle. They've done great stuff in the past, but I don't think that would really move either company forward.

3. I certainly hope not. That would be even more ridiculous than the steps they've already taken.

4. I also don't know if there's enough nostalgia for a match that hasn't appeared in forever. The production issues are plenty of reason for WWE to shy away from the idea, and there's the whole "it's a Dubya Cee Dubya" match aspect of things.

5. If he wins at Summerslam, the 15x shirt will be something of a collectors' item considering it will no longer be true. I wonder how far in advance they planned the title vs. title match anyway.

More wrestling tomorrow.
