Reigns attacked at live event, LU update, more live event notes, WWE merch update, more Network content, Razor Ramon vs. the anti-Diva, new NXT name already getting praise, and Questions on the U.S. Title, naming 2nd-gen wrestlers, Beer Money in WWE, Bull Fit, and Owens/Cesaro

Roman Reigns was struck with a replica MITB briefcase thrown by a fan at ringside during a recent live event. Reigns was legitimately stunned from the blow and needed nearly two minutes to recover sufficiently to continue his match with Bray Wyatt. Hopefully the fan was banned from future events to discourage such behavior. That's completely inappropriate, regardless of one's feelings about Reigns.

Update: the fan was arrested and banned from future WWE events. It's a shame he felt the need to disrupt the show like that.

There's talk of El Rey Network working with Robert Rodriguez on a project directly related to AAA. How this affects a second season of LU remains to be seen. The critically-acclaimed series is rumored to have been notably over budget based on the audience it drew.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Brad Maddox and Heath Slater teamed up on a live event this weekend. I have no idea how a stable of Slater, Maddox, and Rose would work out, but it could be worth trying to do something like 3MB with the people who aren't doing much else.

WWE now has Team BAD shirts. I suspect they had merchandise in the works for the team of Paige, Becky, and Charlotte before the name change.

WWE will put out a commemorative magazine for Roddy Piper, likely on sale August 31. That should be special.

WWE is expected to add more episodes of Nitro to the Network soon, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the show. More WCW-related content will likely follow as they continue to digitize old footage.

There was a mild controversy on Twitter involving Scott Hall calling Paige a "naughty girl" who deserved to be spanked. Paige blew off those who were upset at the joke. There was no heat between the two sides.

Actor Terry Crews approves of the former Uhaa Nation's new ring name. Just when I thought I couldn't view Terry any more favorably.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I don't see the U.S. Title going away. I wouldn't be surprised if Rollins has someone help him beat Cena and then rewards that person's assistance by giving them the title. I think that'd be a pretty solid heel move, because you KNOW there will be a ton of people whining about it ruining the title's legitimacy.

2. What they said. They could probably go with "Ashley Flair" if they wanted to, but I have no complaints with Charlotte. They're still acknowledging who her dad is, so it's not a big deal. Besides, it's not like Bray Wyatt or Bo Dallas are used as the Rotundas. It's not a hard-and-fast rule that talents take their famous parents' names.

3. Yes! Maybe not a strong one, but I could see either man getting the treatment of Samoa Joe or Rhyno as NXT becomes a bigger touring group. Some of it depends on what other kind of offers the two of them have outside of TNA. It's worth noting Roode's still working for TNA for the time being, with no indication of him leaving like his former partner did.

4. Dempsey had already lost his mystique after the program with Corbin. Now he has a chance to get over as a comedy babyface. If this was Samoa Joe or something, I'd complain. But Dempsey's still earning his stripes. Let's give it a chance.

5. I'd rather them get regular TV time as a team than do nothing as singles stars. WWE's obviously behind both of them given the strong showings they had with Cena. I don't see them falling by the wayside anytime soon.

More wrestling tomorrow.
