Pete Dunne spoke to Alicia Atout.

WWE is keeping TV taping days to alternating the Raw/Main Event wrestlers and Smackdown/205 Live wrestlers so theoretically any future outbreak would only affect half the roster.

Fyter Fest's crowd included sponsors and staff from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

WWE responded to the shareholders lawsuit against them thusly:
- the Saudi TV exec who was quoted in the lawsuit was not involved in any negotiations with WWE, nor did they exchange any messages with WWE. He was only a minor, brief executive at the TV channel.

- WWE confirmed later-than-expected payments for Saudi events and that they are still being paid for past events.

- WWE points out that Saudi Arabia made a large payment before Crown Jewel began airing, which was publicly disclosed. As such, there was no reason to "cut the feed" to the show as a former WWE star alleges happened.

- WWE had already lowered its year-end expectations due to not having a Middle Eastern TV deal in place, so there was no fraud.

- WWE asserted a former WWE announcer was paid by news sites to spread rumors regarding the Saudi deal, which that announcer denies. WWE further showed they have signed statements from those responsible for the charter flight that the issue was in fact mechanical rather than due to any action from the Saudi government.

-- If this suit is determined to be based on falsehoods, I would consider countersuing if I was WWE.

WWE is very upset about the leak of the Great American Bash main event.

The New Japan Cup semifinals were NJPW's first live prime time TV show since 1986. More live episodes are coming once the promotion begins running regularly again.

AAA has a new TV deal in Colombia, showing past shows. The company is not planning any live shows for the time being, as they don't want to run shows with reduced capacity from a financial standpoint.

All Japan Pro Wrestling will return to running with limited crowds on July 13.

Pro Wrestling NOAH will return to running with limited crowds on July 18.

Cauliflower Alley Club is considering moving their convention to next year. The main holdup is a deposit on the host hotel. Board member Roy Lucier left his position over the controversy, as many were upset CAC would run an event built on honoring older wrestlers during a pandemic where they would be adversely affected.

Necro Butcher has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Disease, and will need multiple rounds of chemotherapy. I wish him the best in dealing with that.

Henry Cejudo has begun training as a wrestler in Florida. We'll see if he ends up in AEW after being part of the Mike Tyson angle.

A Mexican building shut down events after two wrestlers tested positive for COVID with fans in attendance. Mexico is really struggling with the virus.

Gory Guerrero is set to be inducted into the El Paso Sports Hall of Fame.

Malaysia Pro Wrestling is putting together a competition show based on pro wrestling, with judges evaluating performances. That's an intriguing idea to try.

NWA has released Zicky Dice following locker room heat regarding his attitude and the feeling he needed to improve and sell more for his peers. NWA is looking to restructure following David Lagana's departure, with veteran wrestlers having more of a role.

Mad Maxine is writing a book about her wrestling days, a novel involving her real experiences.

MLW is considering suing a Texas promotion known as the Major League Wrestling Federation, for obvious reasons.

Bully Ray is no longer in ROH, as his contract has expired and the company isn't renewing deals right now. Obviously I'm happy with this news, but also worried because I can easily see him going to Impact. At least he'd be a better fit there.

ROH is interested in Alex Zayne and Tony Deppen once they start running shows again. Zayne has worked for the company before.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have agreed to a NJPW deal. That company is currently on a hiring freeze, so nothing has been signed. Impact will work around their dates with that promotion. I'm curious how that will work, since they can easily be top players in Impact.

AEW and the Khan family will donate $1 million to COVID relief as part of Fight For The Fallen. Very glad to see them make the most of that show concept.

The Dark Order was originally going to be led by Marty Scurll before ROH's big offer to keep him. Matt Hardy was the second choice, but this was considered too obvious. Scurll might have worked, but Matt Hardy would have further cemented the "goofy midcard act" reputation and likely would have been cheered.

Brian Pillman, Jr. attended Dynamite this week. He'd be an obvious signing for them if he leaves MLW.

EVOLVE has been sold to WWE. This includes the trademarks and video library, as well as everything associated with Dragon Gate USA.

- WWN will continue with FIP, Shine, and ACW helmed by Sal Hamaoui.

- Gabe Sapolsky is expected to join NXT creative full-time.

- It sounds like the chief reason behind this is having to cancel their WrestleMania weekend event. The sale allows them to refund fans who purchased tickets there. We'll see who ends up in NXT as a result.

XFL lawsuit updates:
- Oliver Luck now needs to show that there was no legitimate reason to fire him, rather than Vince McMahon having to prove there was a legitimate reason.

- Alpha Entertainment has been added as a defendant.

Kairi Sane is returning to Japan to live with her husband. She has been cleared to return to the ring, and there was an idea at one point to do a "career-ending injury" angle to set up Asuka's Summerslam opponent. I wish we had gotten a lot more of Kairi in WWE, but respect her wishes.

Becky Lynch pitched losing the Raw Women's Championship to Shayna Baszler at either WrestleMania or afterward with Shayna winning Money in the Bank. I would have definitely been on board with that. Shayna is a clear asset.

Ember Moon could need another surgery on her Achilles' tendon following complications the first time. She's really had it rough with this injury.

Mike Chioda had surgery for a torn biceps and rotator cuff before his WWE release. He had just agreed to a new contract with a raise before he was cut. My guess is WWE wanted to offload an expensive contract; that really sucks for someone who had put in more than 30 years for them, though.

Ryback says he wasn't contacted for a Nexus reunion, and wouldn't have done it if offered. It's possible the reunion was just for an Axxess signing.

Mike Kanellis and Maria's WWE angle was going to end with Mike being the father of Maria's child, and incorporating his recovery from addiction. Maria would have turned babyface after giving birth. I can't say I've missed them on Raw.

Smackdown has announced:
- Bayley and Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross
- New Day vs. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura
- Money In The Bank 2020's Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt match

Raw has added Asuka vs. Bayley.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Nope. Both men had done plenty for the business at that point and earned their farewells.

Nothing to add to 2, 3, or 4.

5. It's all a matter of her name coming up and being approved. As best as I can tell, she's on good terms with the company, so that's not what's stopping her from going in.

6. It would be a matter of them thinking it was worth any potential backlash to do so.

More wrestling tomorrow.
