Christian,JBL, and Rock updates, Angle and Styles interviews, Questions on TNA ads during Raw, WrestleMania booking, Ziggler, WWE returns, and Josh Mathews, another ex-developmental star on Tough Enough, new WWE TV deal, and a rumor buster

Here's the news for Thursday:

Christian is back regularly working house shows for the Smackdown brand, so he is presumably ready for a full-time schedule again.

The Sun has an interview with Kurt Angle today. He reiterates that he'll remain with TNA when his contract expires around August-September, but will likely only wrestle part-time (i.e. no house shows, but could still be on TV and PPV most of the time). Angle could very well be the most valuable ex-WWE,WCW, or ECW star they have in terms of name value and workrate.

In addition to talking about his future with movies, he talks about his past behind-the-scenes issues with Jeff Jarrett. That he, Jeff, and Karen are able to work together after all they've gone through is a true show of professionalism.

After the break, I take a look at the questions PWInsider.com got today.

It is smart to advertise TNA during Raw. I believe I've seen WWE ads during Impact in the past as well. They do it through the cable/satellite company and not the other promotion, though. Either way, if it gets more people to watch the other promotion or go to the advertised house show, more power to them.

I personally prefer the booking of Del Rio-Edge to Cena-Miz. They seem to be about even compared to someone who's mostly squeaked by in his title defenses against one of WWE's most dominant babyfaces.  think that Miz might have the most to gain by a good performance here, as he's still trying to become a legitimate main eventer as far as booking goes.

As far as Dolph Ziggler's references to TNA and ROH when he was "fired", I don't think it would help WWE all that much to have him work a match in ROH. It's an interesting idea, but it helps them a lot more than it does WWE. Why get your fans interested in your competition? The Matt Hardy shout-out in '05 notwithstanding, I don't think WWE is looking to help out ROH.

I don't think that the returns of Nash, Booker, and The Rock have anything to do with Triple H's higher prominence in the company. Nash and Rock in particular have always been on good terms with WWE (well, post-WCW that is for Nash).

A lot of what Michael Cole gets IS "go away" (or "X-Pac") heat, so hopefully the angle concludes at WrestleMania. He also gets a lot of legitimate boos though. I'm not really crazy about Josh Mathews. I don't dislike him, but I'm not enthused by him either.

Money In The Bank is now apparently viewed as a longshot for this year's WrestleMania. That's kind of the "go-to" match for when they don't have anything planned for some wrestlers, so if that's true, I wonder how they'll work in some of the people who don't have storylines at present.

Former developmental talent Andrew Leavine is a contestant on Tough Enough.

Absolutely dreadful news about two former WWE stars. Oliver Humperdink is battling pneumonia in addition to cancer, and Jillian Hall lost her baby 14 weeks into pregnancy. Never good to deliver news like that.

WWE has signed a multi-year agreement to keep their programming on The Score in Canada. They will also have online and video-on-demand content with the channel. Good for them.

Jim Ross has confirmed that JBL's appearance on Raw was a one-night return. WWE.com has an interview with him here.

Despite an obituary being posted, Stan Lane of the Midnight Express is still alive and well.

AJ Styles was interviewed recently as well. If this interviewer is right, it's another confirmation that Fortune wasn't the original plan to be the most recent "They". Whoever reported otherwise at PWInsider.com really caused some confusion. Nice (possibly unintentional) shot at TNA not promoting younger talent. Also how crazy is it that this interview promoted the match with Matt Hardy before it was officially announced by TNA?

The Rock has now been confirmed as appearing on the Raw after WrestleMania.

That's all for today's news. There will be more tomorrow.
