Questions on Sin Cara, Heyman-TNA, WWE censorship, Ivan Koloff in the HoF, and wrestling websites, Updates on Jeff Hardy, the WWE Hall of Fame and Brian Christopher, Helms arrested, Austin interview, TNA hiring and possible firings, Smackdown rating

Today's news starts off with questions sent to PWInsider.com. First up, why is Sin Cara getting such a huge push right off the bat? Well, he's a pretty big star in Mexico, and WWE really wants to appeal to the Latino audience. It's not that different from Alberto Del Rio except that they're pushing the lucha background instead of making a completely different character for him.

Someone wants to know what Paul Heyman's plans were for TNA. All I've heard in way of specifics is phasing out some of the older guys and push the younger talent more. Beyond that, he wanted to take TNA public. He wanted complete creative control of the company, which TNA wasn't willing to grant him. And if Paul Heyman hasn't gone to ROH by now, I don't picture him doing so. I know that he's had heat with Jim Cornette in the past, so that could have something to do with it.

More answers and news after the break, beginning with international censorship of WWE shows.

I've never seen anything being skipped over on a show, just "bleeped out". I don't know how different censorship is in Ireland, but that's how the show is presented here in the States.

There's no telling why Ivan Koloff isn't in the WWE Hall of Fame. The same could be said for pretty much any talent who isn't there. That topic's one of the most head-scratching in wrestling. All I can say as that whoever makes the HoF decisions hasn't chosen to put him in yet.

Which website is worse, Bleacher Report or The Examiner? I've actually never been to the latter, but the few times I've been to Bleacher Report I lost some faith in the intelligence of IWC members. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but some of the things I've read there were pretty umm... hard to agree with. I know not everyone there is a teenager, but it reminded me of some of the things I thought during my teenage years. Believing any internet rumor, being unnecessarily negative, hating every change, etc.. Not all that different from other people on the internet (YouTube comments for instance), just applied to wrestling.

But enough about that. Let's move on to Jeff Hardy's condition on Sunday. Numerous sources have said that he was in no condition to perform in the main event against Sting, and looking back at the video of the match, it seems pretty apparent that they were right. A lot of people were surprised that they even had him go out there for the match. To say it was a fiasco would be an understatement.

Update: Any rumors of Jeff Hardy being arrested recently are false. This is why I don't report such things until they've been picked up by a major site. Also, Sting was always scheduled to go over last night.

Update: Jeff Hardy will not be at this week's Impact tapings as a disciplinary action. That's a nice start. He'd due back in court on Wednesday.

There was a change of plans on WWE's induction into the Hall of Fame tonight. It was originally going to be Abdullah The Butcher tonight. Why WWE felt the need to induct Drew Carey based on one appearance a decade ago is beyond me.

Former WWE and WCW wrestler Shane "Hurricane" Helms was arrested recently for a bar fight. Not cool.

Part of an interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin has been posted at IGN.com. Nice little read. IGN generally has some pretty good wrestling content. The links at the bottom of the article are nice. As far as Austin's Raw appearance, I didn't feel that it needed to be longer (except if he also promoted Tough Enough, which would have been nice). He got an explosive pop and doesn't need to be involved in a big storyline in a big way in 2011.

OVW claims that a former champion of theirs debuted at Victory Road as the fan who ran in during Hernandez/Morgan. Miss Tessmacher and Daffney have been removed from TNA's roster, suggesting that they won't be used in the near future by the company. That's generally a sign that they've been released.

Tessmacher I hadn't seen much of in the ring, but would seem expendable based on how little she had been featured. If she's still interested in wrestling, I wouldn't mind seeing her back down the line if she continues to improve in the ring.

Daffney on the other hand, I think TNA really dropped the ball with. Strong worker, great promo, unique look, gets over with the audience, and is a veteran who can help the younger Knockouts along. But no, they drop her and keep Christy Hemme who allegedly makes 6 figures a year. Add this to the list of "things we'll look back on and say 'this is when TNA made a bad decision'". Even when it is 2 steps forward for TNA, it's always 1 1/2 steps back as well.

Friday's episode of Smackdown had a 1.96 rating. It's still doing pretty well. That's more than 3 million viewers.

IGN.com also has a snippet of an interview with Trish Stratus. What's there is a nice read.

Brian Christopher's cameo on Raw tonight was a one-time gig, or is at least scheduled to be so as of now.

That's all the news for tonight. More to come tomorrow.
