Questions on Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, David Hart Smith, the Canadian Destroyer, and WWE cuts, Tough Enough to have replays on SyFy, Orton, Abdullah, and Richie Steamboat interviews, more mainstream press for WWE, Angle arrested, WrestleMania press conference news, Superstars and Impact ratings, and more on WWE Tough Enough

The first news to pop up today that gained my interest was PWInsider.com's questions. Here's my take on them, in order:

I don't see Eve defending her title at WrestleMania. It's possible, but I'm not so sure that they'll throw that one on the card at the last minute.

From a business standpoint, I definitely see why they dropped Kelly Kelly for Snooki. I think I'd personally have gone with an 8-person tag also involving Kelly and Vickie Guerrero, since they already had a story going. But like it or not, Snooki's pretty well known, and WWE's using that to get mainstream publicity, which leads to  possibly more people buying the show.

Anyone who's read my thoughts columns for when David Hart Smith (or Tyson Kidd for that matter) will know that I'm also disappointed in what WWE's done with the Hart Dynasty post-split. I haven't read anything about him possibly being released or anything, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. Some of his misuse can be attributed to him (and a fair number of other talents) being lost in the shuffle as WWE builds towards WrestleMania.

More answers and news after the break. First up, why has no one used the Canadian Destroyer since Petey Williams left TNA?
Here's the thing about the Canadian Destroyer. Ignoring all the issues of it being hard to pull off, in the case of Petey Williams, it was pretty much the only reason he got over in the ring. His matches were pretty much a waiting game for when he'd pull that move out. And I say that as a former Petey fan. Is it an awesome move? You bet it is. But when you build your repertoire around one stunt, you're not going to last long or go far in the wrestling business. Petey tried to differentiate his moveset later on in his TNA career, but he could never escape the label of "guy who does the Canadian Destroyer". I think that's why you don't see people try to duplicate the move. Either because they'll be compared to him, or because they might end up with that label too and not move their careers forward. Just a theory though.

I do expect a cut of a number of talents after WrestleMania. It wouldn't surprise me in the least, given how many wrestlers they're not using that much.

In other news, Tough Enough will be replayed before Smackdown on SyFy for those who don't catch it after Raw. Smart move.

Randy Orton did an interview with ESPN to promote WWE All-Stars and WrestleMania. Nice read, particularly near the end when he talks about The Rock.

Abdullah The Butcher also has an interview, talking about going into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Miz and Roddy Piper will appear on The George Lopez show on Tuesday to promote WWE All-Stars.

Kurt Angle was arrested recently in North Dakota. Here are more details on what happened. I get extremely tired of reading about things like this. Drinking while you're in a car is just not a good idea when you need to drive somewhere. There are some dumb laws in this country but arresting people who are drinking and (about to be) driving just makes sense to me. Ideally, people wouldn't do it in the first place, but since that's obviously not going to change anytime soon, this is one way to deal with it. I hope this makes Angle think twice about this kind of thing, though I have my doubts.

WWE is doing a press conference for WrestleMania on Wednesday. The Rock and Snooki will be making guest appearances.

TNA Impact did a 1.23 rating this week. It's done worse, but it's also done better.

Superstars did a .57, and its replay did a .17. I don't know how much WWE wants for the rights to air the show, but you'd think they'd rather work out a deal with someone in the States than make nothing from a TV channel with it being online.

Here's a little interview with FCW's Richie Steamboat.

R&B singer Keri Hilson will be performing "America The Beautiful" at WrestleMania this year. She's a native of Georgia.

Stone Cold talks Tough Enough and some memories of his career with IGN.com here. The website, which has been great with its looks at wrestling over the years, also has a look at the Tough Enough cast.

That's it for tonight's news. I'll have more news and opinions this weekend.
