Questions on The Miz, The Rock, Scott Steiner, Jerry Lawler, and Impact on the road, Smackdown main event, final WWE All-Stars roster, Big Dick Johnson and Jerry Lawler interviews, The Rock TV appearance, Mania match mixup, Smackdown rating, more WWE star appearances, Lesnar talks Undertaker and a return, why Piper's plan fell through, and what the first news story will be tomorrow

Here's a rundown of Monday's news and my thoughts on what happened:

First, PWInsider.com has some questions. First, someone wants to know about the booking of WWE Champions. Or The Miz. Or both. It's kind of a rant and a question combined. I don't really see much of a similarity between Cena vs. Miz and HHH vs. Jericho at WM18. I think that Miz has come across as more of a threat than Jericho did, and Stephanie doesn't grab the same amount of attention as The Rock. Rock is definitely a big deal in this feud, but I don't think Miz is being forgotten about by any stretch. Should he have been a bigger deal? I think so, but he wasn't an afterthought.

The whole "Cena being one of Vince's boys" thing is kind of silly. WWE's not going to book someone as a champion unless they have confidence that they'll make them money. And Cena is a safe bet as champion. I don't really see a trend of champions being put on the backburner in order for Cena to be the top guy. Certainly not recently.

Another Cena-Miz-Rock question. The short version of my answer is that it made sense to do something between Cena and Rock given the remarks Cena made about him in the past, and that fans have speculated on them facing off. And when a big star comes back to the company and calls you out, generally that takes you off your game and makes you lose focus. Which makes the heel champion want to interject himself into the mix. Again, I think Miz should be a more important part of the feud, but with the years that Cena and Rock have been stars, it's hard for him to be seen on that level.

More answers and news after the break!
For question #3, I don't know why Steiner wears the headdress other than he (presumably) thinks it looks cool. I didn't see him wrestle until he was already using that gimmick, so I don't know when he changed and what his persona was that inspired it.

The reaction out of Questioner #4 is similar to what WWE is going for with the Lawler-Cole feud, just not in kayfabe, a "Lawler's facing COLE? That's ridiculous! Cole's not in his LEAGUE!" kind of thing. In kayfabe, people have been begging someone to take Cole out for years, and King is the perfect guy to do it. I doubt he'll quit if this match doesn't go his way. Andy Kaufman wasn't exactly a trained wrestler, and the feud with him was legendary. And of COURSE Cole is "easy to beat". That's why he's ducking King! The match will likely be quick and decisive in favor of Lawler. And the fans won't care because they want to see him destroy Cole, not wrestle a 5-star classic. If "treating him like this" means he gets to be in one of the most over matches on the card, and make the company money instead of being thrown on at the last minute in something less meaningful, that's nothing to quit over.

Impact won't be going on the road each week, or live each week, much less both any time soon. They're taking baby steps. There hasn't been any word on any future live or on-the-road Impacts as of yet, but they'll surely give it another go at some point.

The main event for Smackdown, according to a Cablevision app on iPhone, is Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Nice.

Here's the final roster for WWE All-Stars, complete with downloadable talent. Looks pretty cool.

The former Big Dick Johnson talked to WorldWrestlingInsanity.com recently. Here are a few highlights. It's interesting hearing the original plans that had to be scrapped because of the Chris Benoit incident.

The Rock will appear on Piers Morgan Tonight March 31. That could be interesting.

Mattel is doing sets of action figures featuring "dream matches" from the WWE All-Stars game. Brilliant move. WWE's on the ball with that idea.

There was either a change of plans by WWE or someone got some bad information, because PWInsider.com said that The Corre would face Kane, Big Show, Christian, and Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania. Instead, Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov will team with Kane and Big Show.

Friday's Smackdown did a 1.96 rating, only 13,000 viewers short of the 3 million mark. Still doing pretty well for the most part, though.

The Miz was on Monday night's Attack of the Show on G4. Edge promoted WrestleMania on CTV in Canada. I wish they'd do more appearances like this when they have the chance to. They do plenty for Mania, but not as many the rest of the year.

Brock Lesnar was interviewed by MMAfighting.com about a number of subjects, including his confrontation with The Undertaker months back. This is the first I've read about any talks about Brock's wife (former WWE Diva Sable). He says that he'd be open to a return match. I wouldn't bet on it happening, but it could be cool, and could make a good deal of money as well.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper said that the reason WWE didn't go with his idea of a Piper's Pit between Rock and Cena is that the plans were already in place for the feud. If they had Cena-Rock in Piper's Pit, I think I'd be okay with Miz vs. Morrison and/or R-Truth in the WWE Title match.

Jerry Lawler is the latest wrestler to be interviewed by IGN.com. He confirms that he's fine with wrestling a non-wrestler on Sunday. He's very good with interviews. He should do more public relations stuff with WWE.

Finally, the first story tomorrow will be the date of Sin Cara's WWE TV debut. It unfortunately missed the deadline by less than 20 minutes, so I'm saving it for tomorrow. If it was posted before midnight, I would have certainly covered it here.

Until then, these have been my thoughts on today's news.
