Interviews with Hawkins/Miz/Cena/Kazarian/Kevin Hart/Rosebud, potential MITB spoilers, Iron Sheik talks World Cup, WWE financial update, WWE gimmick change official and Questions on 3MB, Adam Rose and ECW retreads

Curt Hawkins talked about his WWE release and more. The Edgeheads was a great idea for Edge's character. I'm glad WWE went with that. It probably is best for both sides for Hawkins to be outside WWE. He was really stuck in place career-wise.

The Miz gave two interviews, one with the Intelligencer and one with Philly.com. According to the former, Miz has been a top guy in WWE since 2006. Not so much. I do admire Miz going to so many interviews and such. He's quite valuable for that role. His drive has probably helped him remain relevant in the company.

John Cena talked about movies, his dad's diet and more. Cena's a hard worker and an all-around good guy. Hats off to his dad for getting in better shape.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Kazarian talked TNA, ROH and more. I think TNA cutting them might have been primarily a money thing. They were routinely putting on great matches and segments.

Kevin Hart talked about his WWE hosting gig with John Stewart. He's now officially eligible for the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame! I'm glad both of them are legitimate wrestling fans.

WWE's tour of Australia in August features John Cena vs. Kane and Sheamus vs. Bray Wyatt. Either of those could be WWE Title matches after the events of MITB. As always, WWE plans change and it's possible neither of them are for the WWE Title. But those are certainly plausible feuds after MITB at any rate.

The Iron Sheik gained attention with tweets during the World Cup. He should do commentary for the games.

WWE is expected to slow down on new hires as part of their ongoing budget crunch. More cuts are possible in all departments. This isn't a good sign for their financials.

WWE will change their logo to reflect the one used for the WWE Network come Summerslam. I think it's time for a new logo. The "scratch" Attitude Era logo belongs to an earlier age.

A wrestler who worked as a Rosebud talked about the experience. I wonder if any indy wrestlers who do cameos as Rosebuds will end up on the main roster someday, and if so, who.

Cody Rhodes is now officially being billed as Stardust. His profile on WWE.com has been changed to the new name.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Slater was doing the band gimmick long before McIntyre and Mahal joined him. It's easier to replace a drummer or guitar player than the lead singer! I could see WWE seeing more in Slater as far as a character and talker. I thought McIntyre in particular should have gone further in WWE, but Slater has the "it" factor.

2. Not at all! Don't believe everything you read in the 'sheets.

3. Booking two former ECW talents to wrestle in the former ECW Arena is pretty clearly playing to that market. House of Hardcore isn't an ECW reunion show, but there are pretty clear parallels to ECW and some ways it does feel like ECW 2.0 (3.0?) with new talents. I think the time for ECW reunions is pretty much past, but with new talents thrown into the mix and new stories being told, it can be something worth checking out.

Nothing to add to 4.

5 is very sad.

More wrestling tomorrow.
