TNA Slammiversary preview

Read on for my ideas for booking tonight's TNA PPV.
These aren't in much of an order:

JESSIE THO and DJ Z THO take on the Von Erichs. The Bro-Mans don't take a match with two non-TNA wrestlers seriously and are more concerned with posing (Jessie) and the horn (DJ Z). DJ Z taunts Kevin with the horn and ends up being surprised by the famous Von Erich claw. Standard warmup match fare to pop the local crowd. It's not like the Bro-Mans can go any further down the card, so this shouldn't hurt them much.

Standard Beautiful People formula for Angelina retaining due to Velvet's distraction. As the BP gloat and celebrate, Gail announces that just because she couldn't beat Angelina, she knows someone who can. Taryn Terrell's music hits. The stage is set for Taryn challenging Angelina.

Sanada wins the flippy gimmick match for this show. It's not QUITE time for him to lose it.

I personally couldn't care much less about Anderson vs. Storm, but they might as well keep the feud going. Anderson wins via Mic Check and lowers the mic to announce he's the winner. Storm KOs him from behind with a beer bottle and really lays it into him.

Jeff Hardy is announced as the next Hall of Famer to fit the trend of former WWE/WCW Champions. Willow accepts and does his Willow thing. Magnus and Bram jump him to lead to the next match. I think Bound For Glory's a fine time for Jeff to accept as Jeff and signal the end to the Willow gimmick.

I also don't really care all that much about Willow vs. Magnus. Abyss counters Bram and Willow gets the win. Abyss, Willow and Magnus at least should go to the BFG Series.

King gets too cocky. Aries gets the win and advances.

King tries to make up for his loss to Aries by assisting Lashley against Joe. It backfires and Joe wins, giving us EY vs. Aries vs. Joe for the title. I'd normally be against an all-babyfaces match, but Aries and Joe have earned the right to fill in here.

EC3 and Aunt D outsmart Bully Ray somehow leading to a BBBBIIIIIIIIGGGG bump for Bully to put him down for the count. Like, they need a stun gun or something to keep him down. A Texas death match is even more extreme than a last man standing match, so they need a ridiculously big bump here. Maybe Bully falls off something through a whole stack of tables? Either way, EC3 gets a big moment. Bully can put Dixie through a table in NYC. Tease it here leading to Bully's downfall.

EY vs. Aries vs. Joe is a straight-up "workrate" match to wow the fans and show what TNA performers can do on a big stage. TNA NEEDS some good press and buzz right now. EY wins and hopefully all three men get a standing ovation.

As for plans going forward: MVP is royally pissed at King and Lashley for losing, placing the blame on King. It's now King's job to get the group out of this mess. He eventually comes up with the idea of beating Sanada for the X-Division Title and giving MVP his cash-in for Destination X. Depending on MVP's injury, my plan would be for MVP to successfully become champion at Destination X and hold the title to face the winner of the BFG Series in a big showdown. Otherwise he could decree to cash in the title shot when he's 100% and Joe and Aries can face EY at Destination X in a rematch. Either way, my plan is MVP defending at BFG against a big babyface challenger. Roode or Gunner would be my top two choices. The story with Roode could be him winning it after his partner EY gets screwed by MVP at the cash-in.

Also, Tommy Dreamer helps Bully Ray in his quest to put Dixie through a table at the NYC tapings.
