WWE Money In The Bank preview

Read on for how I'd book tonight's WWE PPV.
Pre-show:
Bryan gives an update on his in-ring return and says he'll keep a close eye on the winners of the ladder matches.

MITB:
I think if Summer Rae's going to be a face, we need reasons to cheer for her. So, Layla goes full-on heel in their match, assuming Fandango's not going to DQ her or anything because they're dating. I'm talking choking Summer in the ropes, trying to use an exposed turnbuckle, everything. Eventually Fandango's human decency kicks in and he stops Layla from being too rough on his former girlfriend. Summer gets the surprise pinfall when Layla's distracted. Layla throws a tantrum after the match.

I know some fans will hate booking a match between two good workers like that, but the goal is to get sympy for Summer as a face and heat on Layla as a heel. This eventually leads to a Fandango face turn. Layla will eventually challenge Paige for the title.

Paige and Naomi get to show what they can do while Cameron watches from ringside. Long story short, Naomi puts up a strong effort, but ultimately can't beat Paige. Cameron insults Naomi after the match for not getting the job done, and is upset at her shaking Paige's hand after a loss. This leads to a three-way feud.

Rusev beats Big E after another war. I think WWE should build to Rusev vs. Sheamus for the U.S. Title after Sheamus loses MITB.

Goldust and Stardust show what they can do in a win over Rybaxel. No reason to stop Stardust's momentum yet.

Harper and Rowan become the new tag team champions after one hell of a brawl. The Usos get their music played after the match is over and the Wyatts have left to give them a moment. They've earned that right with their work lately. Eventually we get to the Wyatts vs. Stardust and Goldust. If Goldust is done at Summerslam, they should get to that sooner rather than later.

I don't see any reason to not have Ambrose win the MITB briefcase. The Authority can try to screw him into losing it later, continuing Ambrose vs. Rollins. They fight for the briefcase at Battleground leading to a big gimmick match at Summerslam.

Cesaro gets THIS close to winning the title, but Cena stops him. They feud after MITB to set up Cena vs. Lesnar at Summerslam (that's a main event-level feud without the WWE Title involved). The Usos prevent Rowan and Harper from assisting Wyatt to get the win, so that's his out. Bray's next feud is Mark Henry after Henry saves The Usos from a 3-on-2 beatdown sometime before Battleground.

Kane has a chance to become champion while Orton and Reigns are down, but he has his marching orders. They tease him going for it, but ultimately he's instructed to prevent Reigns from stopping Orton from winning. Orton vs. Reigns vs. Kane is your title feud going forward, with the tease of whether Kane will turn on Orton. I'm not a huge Orton fan, but they need to do something interesting while Bryan recovers and it's not as bad as Cena as champ.

More wrestling coming up.
