More TNA taping notes including a big injury, update on top Japanese star to WWE, Interview with Brodus/Ambrose/WWE tryout and Questions on TNA's tapings, "leaked" posters and Taker

Friday's TNA taping was a legitimate sellout for a show featuring the return of Matt and Jeff Hardy as a team. That's pretty cool.

TNA security was looking to stop videos from leaking out of the NYC tapings. I don't know how possible that is in 2014. Fans who want spoilers are almost certainly going to get them in some way. Why fight it?

The first NYC taping drew around 900 fans, higher than the 650 originally reported. That's better.

Tommy Dreamer worked as a producer for the final TNA-NYC taping, not appearing before the crowd. I imagine they had already used him at previous tapings there.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Devon ribbed Al Snow at the final TNA taping in NYC, getting the crowd to sing "Happy Birthday" when it wasn't actually his birthday. I've heard of more mean-spirited ribs. I can live with something like that.

Morale in the TNA locker room was high overall after the NYC tapings, which is a good sign after the slump they were in before Slammiversary.

Visiting at the final TNA tapings were Prince Nana, Steve Mack and the Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz. I've heard of Nana, but not the other two.

Update: Bodybuilder Kai Greene was also there. Nothing to really add there.

Mistress Belmont of NECW worked a tryout for TNA. Could we be seeing some new Knockouts?

This item has a spoiler from the TNA tapings: Dixie Carter was said to be legitimately banged up after going through a table courtesy of Bully Ray. She was not at the final TNA taping. There are rumors of a concussion and some sort of back issue. The angle is now considered to be done, as it probably should be. I don't think there'll be any heat on Bully. Dixie's not a trained wrestler, so it was going to be a shock to the system no matter what. I wish her a speedy recovery.

WWE is expected to announce they've signed KENTA during their tour of Japan next month. I never expected the former ROH name to go from Japan to WWE. We're truly in a different era of talent development under HHH.

Brodus Clay was interviewed on his WWE run. I watched some of Grim's Toy Show after reading this. Brodus has my full permission to go after that guy. That was terrible.

Dean Ambrose talked about the Shield split and more. I loved his response to getting lost in the shuffle. He's a unique asset for WWE and I hope they keep using him well.

A wrestler from a recent WWE tryout was interviewed. The tryouts can be pretty intense, so him making it through is a good sign. I think the WWE roster will be even more diverse in the years to come.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. My guess is TNA will tape up to Bound For Glory when they return to NYC. As of now, there has been no announcement of post-BFG taping locations. I could see them going back there, but it's not something set in stone as a permanent location.

Nothing to add to 2 or 3.

4. We're jumping to conclusions on whether Cena's facing Lesnar. It looks likely, but the poster doesn't actually say they're facing each other. Go back to the Elimination Chamber 2013 poster for similar jumps to conclusions.

5. There was speculation of another round of Brock vs. Taker at Summerslam, but that doesn't look likely right now. I would be surprised if he wrestles past WM32 in Texas. There's no guarantee we haven't already seen his last match.

More wrestling tomorrow.
