Battleground change, Summerslam main event further confirmed, Interviews with Sting/Ambrose, a look at WWEPC, WWE gets plug, TNA Champion working Bellator, Bryan snubbed, original WM30 plans for Rock, Taker appearance, top WWE name opening school, WWE heading back to Mexico and Questions on the WWE Universe, NXT debuts, DQs, TNA in NYC and the Network

Damien Sandow and Adam Rose have been removed from the Intercontinental Championship battle royal. This opens them up for a separate segment/match/thinly disguised commercial. I don't think they were really going to do much in the battle royal anyway.

A commercial for the Summerslam main event has been found. That'll be big for sure.

Sting confirmed he wants to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31. I wonder what Taker thinks about Sting saying that. There's no guarantee Taker will be physically OK to do a big match then. Sting working with WWE and passing knowledge to the younger stars would be great. He's got decades of experience and has worked a number of top promotions.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Here's a look at the WWE Performance Center on its anniversary. Bo has definitely benefited from the facilities.

The winner of the MLB Home Run Derby posed with a WWE Title replica afterward. Pretty sweet.

TNA World Champion Lashley will be competing for Bellator on Sept. 5. That will be quite interesting. I'm sure there'll be plenty of speculation of the bout being fixed. If TNA's top champion gets wrecked in MMA, it could damage his aura of being a beast in the wrestling ring. On the other hand, if he stomps his opponent, it will make him look even more legitimate. Ultimately it's probably just a promotional gimmick for two top Spike properties, but it's an effective one.

Update: Here's the press release for the event. Ahh, King Mo. I remember him.

NBC's WrestleMania special will feature the opening segment, The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar, and John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt. I think that can be justified since Bryan's out indefinitely and Cena's the top guy for the moment, but that definitely shifts the focal point of the show.

The Rock talked about the original plans for him to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. That brings up quite the interesting question of who would have faced Taker and would The Streak still have been broken?

The Undertaker visited Mick Foley backstage at Foley's standup show in Texas. I can't get this picture of Taker doing standup in full character out of my head. I'm curious to see how much Taker relaxes on the kayfabe thing when he retires. I respect his old-school mentality about the whole thing.

Seth Rollins is opening up a training school. The name comes from his pre-WWE ring name, Tyler Black.

Cesaro and Rosa Mendes were on-hand to promote WWE returning to Mexico in October. I wonder if they'll run into El Generico down there?

Dean Ambrose gave a big interview to WWE.com. That was incredibly well-written and interesting.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I like it from the standpoint of it being all-inclusive and suggesting of a really large company or group. It's definitely something WWE's trying to cram into our brains (like "sports entertainment"), but that's usually the case with slogans.

2. That would be good. I think sometimes it's taken for granted that the audience knows about a talent from before they were on the main roster (Paige, for example). While there's definitely part of the audience who knows who Leo Kruger is and wants WWE to bring back the original music for the Rose character, most of the fans don't fall into that category. WWE needs to keep that in mind. More fleshing out for characters would be great.

3. WWE in particular has really relaxed rule enforcement in places because it's "a scripted variety show" instead of a real sport. Things have definitely been lost in that change of mindset.

4. TNA was set to be going back in August before the first set of tapings was done. I don't think they'll go to NYC permanently, but I think they'll definitely hit that market again.

5. WWE has a lot of WWE fans watching Raw, and they want to get those fans watching the Network. So, that's where they'll do a lot of plugs.

More wrestling tomorrow.
