JR-WWE update, Roberts health update, Interviews with Davey/Cesaro/Batista, three TNA stars sign new deals, Brock update, a look at Heyman's Raw promo, where's Sheamus, Cena role picture and Questions on Punk vs. Cabana, storyline holes, Sting wrestling, booking Cena and the HoF

Jim Ross is now legally done with WWE after 21 years. This frees him up for other commentary jobs if he so chooses. I don't see him going to TNA or GFW, but you never know. NJPW could be a possibility based on recent comments, though.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts has announced being cancer-free. That's fantastic news! This has been a great year for him.

Davey Richards gave an interview about TNA and his WWE tryout. The Wolves vs. the Hardys and vs. Team 3D is a great opportunity for them to grow as performers. As for going to WWE, they wouldn't be "training The Wolves to wrestle". WWE would be getting them to adjust how they wrestle to fit what WWE does. If you go from working at an Italian restaurant to a Japanese restaurant, the people at the second restaurant aren't "training you to cook". They're adjusting your existing skills for the new kind of food.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Brooke Tessmacher, Samuel Shaw and Sanada have all signed new deals with TNA. I hope they have good futures there.

WWE is believed to have signed the former Prince Devitt, with an official announcement forthcoming. He's also a highly-touted talent. I hope we do see Devitt and Steen in WWE given their pre-WWE reputations.

Cesaro talked about his famous swing and more. He deserves a lot of credit for working with the NXT stars while he's down there.

Batista talked about a wrestling-related text he got from a castmate while working on "Guardians of the Galaxy". Pretty funny stuff.

WWE posted a tease image of something with the hashtag #WWETransformed. Could it be something comic book-related? That's the vibe I get from it.

Brock Lesnar is advertised for the August 11 Raw, but no other events before Summerslam. He's got a pretty sweet gig.

Paul Heyman was the subject of an in-depth analysis by Grantland. Quite well-written. Sometimes talking segments are better than matches.

Sheamus is said to have taken ill recently, so WWE held him out of action on Tuesday's taping.

Here's a photo of John Cena's "heel" persona from an upcoming film. That's quite creepy looking.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Punk seems pretty adamant about being done with wrestling. Any speculation about him wrestling Cabana, or anyone for that matter, is premature.

2. WWE and TNA have a lot of careless storyline errors at times. In WWE's case, there are a lot of last-minute rewrites, and that's probably the reason behind a lot of it.

3. It's looking more and more likely! On that note, I hope they have a backup plan if Taker can't work WM31.

4. Don't use him as the top guy so much, don't have him beat so many of his rivals and have someone else write some of his promos. I think the problem is we've seen Cena do the same thing for so long and they need to switch it up.

5. There aren't any official criteria for the Hall of Fame. It's just a matter of who Vince and the others in power want to go in that year. They'll hopefully go in eventually.

More wrestling tomorrow.
