TNA signs Wrestle-1 star, Interview with WWE author, another big Network deal, Impact audience, WM30 special, new WWE board member, TNA taping update, more on Santino and Questions on no-compete clauses, move names, chants, Ambrose and fantasy booking

Sanada has signed a contract with TNA. He'll still make appearances in Japan, but he's now officially a TNA talent (instead of just being "on loan" from Wrestle-1). It will be interesting to see how far he makes it in TNA. His character is set to undergo some interesting changes in the weeks to come as the NYC shows air.

The author of "30 Years of WrestleMania" talked about working with Vince McMahon and more. I'm sure that's a pretty insightful read.

WWE is promoting a free week of the Network as they debut new content. No credit card needed. If someone isn't buying the Network by now, I really don't know what else they want.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Impact's audience on Thursday night was 1.33 million viewers. They're doing better lately.

NBC will air a WrestleMania 30 special on August 3rd. You might remember that as the show where Paul Heyman's client BROCK LESNAR ended The Undertaker's undefeated streak.

WWE has announced a new member to its Board of Directors. With that resume, she's certainly qualified to work there.

TNA has dates on hold in NYC in September, but they aren't officially set for anything yet. There will definitely be tapings there in August. How things look for TNA for the fall will be a big story to follow.

WWE posted video from Santino's weekend announcement. I think they should keep him around as a character even without him being able to get physical. He's over and that's what's important.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There's a big difference between being released from your contract when there's still time left on it vs. it expiring and no longer holding you captive.

2. Yeah, they're not going to intentionally remind the audience of someone working for TNA.

3. Honestly, while I appreciate the fans' support, I think it takes away from the narrative to a degree. I'm still kind of split on whether it's a good thing.

4. I absolutely think Ambrose is capable of being a top act for years to come. The same goes for Rollins and Reigns. It's easier said than done, though!

5. I like fantasy booking as a concept (as evidenced by me doing it before most PPVs), so it's fine by me to keep that kind of thing going.

More wrestling coming up.
