Changes to Lockdown card, another Mania visitor, WWE cartoons to come?, Superstars' future, WWE on the Today Show, Updates on TNA Films, Jeff Hardy, and Scott Hall, Questions on WWE "entertainers", refs counting for top rope moves, and HHH vs. Taker at WM28, Shark Boy and Mick Foley interviews, surprise appearance by Knockout, 3-hour Raws announced, and Impact and Superstars ratings

This news item actually came in last night, but for whatever reason didn't show up as being from last night until today: In addition to Christopher Daniels being added to the Lethal Lockdown match, the still-injured Alex Shelley has been dropped from the Xscape match.

Yet another former wrestling star reported as appearing in Atlanta for the Hall of Fame and WrestleMania is Erik Watts, perhaps best known for his WCW run.

WWE is considering doing animated projects on Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, and its new line of "Rumblers" toys. These are all in extremely early stages, but that could certainly be a way for them to make money.

There was a lot of press for WWE's rebranding.

WWE Superstars will now be shown on YouTube after it airs internationally. As much as I like the show, I won't cover it in-depth anymore since it's not on at the same time each week anymore. I will continue to watch, however, and give the results in the same vein as dark matches.

Trish Stratus will promote Tough Enough on the Today Show on Saturday.

There are no plans for a TNA Films division at this time, though it's possible down the road.

Jeff Hardy hasn't been brought up internally in TNA for a while. They're more than likely waiting for his court date on the 20th before making a decision on his future.

After the break, I look at PWInsider.com's questions for today and give my take on them. First up, since WWE employees are "entertainers" now, can they be represented by an entertainment union? More answers and the rest of the day's news is coming up next!

I'm... not really sure. WWE almost certainly still considers them independent contractors either way, so I don't think we'll see them suddenly unionize. In fact, I doubt we'll see any significant change in that area any time soon.

Questioner #2 is upset (like many) that WWE has removed the word "wrestling" from its vocabulary. I don't think it's spitting on anyone. I just think it's a corporate move to get away from the negative stigma of being a wrestling company and promoting that they do more than just what happens in an arena setting. It's really not much to worry about AS LONG AS the "entertainment" they put on during Raw, Smackdown, etc. is still good. Their answer to the question wasn't a good metaphor in my mind. The Coca-Cola company does make more than soda so they are a beverage company instead of just a soda one, like WWE is an entertainment company instead of just a wrestling one. As silly as it would be if they stated calling soda something else to avoid negative connotations, as long as Coke still tastes good, it's not really a problem.

My answer to the 4th question is pretty much theirs. And the 3rd was directed to them specifically, so we'll move to #5. Yes, there's a good chance that we end up getting Triple H vs. The Undertaker again at next year's WrestleMania. Considering how big of a match that was, a sequel's only natural. And they'd probably get the most out of it if they do it then. They could even make it Career vs. Streak again, so Triple H can get his ride off into the sunset and go corporate full-time if that's what he wants to do. I'd like to see some fresh faces, but I don't think that'd be a bad route to go down.

Shark Boy did an interview here. I'm glad that Stone Cold liked the gimmick. I personally found it hilarious and think they could have done more with it, but that's me. How he'd fit in the current TNA is beyond me, though. I think they have other talents they need to be getting over before a comedy character in the X-Division.

Traci Brooks worked a recent house show for TNA, losing against Madison Rayne.

Mick Foley was interviewed on a number of topics. He says that he doesn't want to step back in the ring for TNA, after showing concussion-like symptoms following his last match with Ric Flair. He's still under contract for the company, but is only being used on house shows at present. Given how little in-ring action he's had in TNA, he doesn't see why they'd re-sign him. I agree. Let the end of his contract be the last we see of him there unless they just have an amazing idea on how to use him that would benefit the company.

Christopher Daniels is signing autographs in CA with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. Cool thing to do.

Despite rumors of a drug overdose and/or death, Scott Hall is fine after a recent hospital visit. The visit was actually related to his blood pressure. He's still recovering from last summer's double pneumonia to a degree.

There's a story making the rounds about heat between John Morrison and Trish Stratus regarding WrestleMania. I'm waiting until more details come out before reporting on or discussing it further. Trish is commenting on the situation in an interview to be posted this Monday.

WWE has announced 2 3-hour Raws for the month of June, on the 13th and 20th. These are the two weeks following the finale of Tough Enough, and also the final 2 weeks of this quarter of the year, so USA wants to deliver big then in the ratings. One of these episodes will likely be the WWE Draft. I'm hoping for the second date, since it's right after a PPV.

This Thursday's edition of Impact drew a 1.15 rating, pretty much what it usually does. They get a nice boost after PPVs but can't keep it up for long. It will take time to build a product that people want to see consistently and not just tune in to see what, if anything gets shaken up following a big show.

The final episode of WWE Superstars got a .57 rating, and a .15 for the replay. How many of those 741,000 viewers know that the show won't air anymore, but can still be seen on YouTube? And how many of them would have watched if it was streamed on WWE.com in its normal timeslot?

That's all for today's news. I'll have more this weekend.
