Update on Abyss's injury, Rock has words for Cena, Questions on Sheamus, Hogan, and Teddy Hart, Joey Styles jokes around on Twitter, NXT alumni interviewed, more WWE All-Stars and Miss USA press, Flair correction, TNA-NASCAR news, and Bret Hart's latest auctions

Abyss underwent dental surgery on Thursday, having repair work done on his upper lip and having 4 or 5 damaged teeth removed. He says he'll be ready to return to the ring with a week, which speaks pretty highly of his endurance.

The Rock had a few words for John Cena on his birthday. I wonder how the two get along "behind-the-scenes". Obviously if they're having a match together, there's at least SOME level of respect there. But that could be for the business more than each other.

PWInsider.com has some Saturday questions to look at. Nothing to add to #1, and #2 was a tricky situation. I'm glad that Sheamus stuck around (don't want another Brock Lesnar situation), and I wonder how things would have gone differently if he was locked in before then. I would definitely have liked to have seen more Sheamus/Corre/Kane involvement in the HHH/Taker feud, but I guess they didn't want to have them wrestle until the big show, which makes a lot of sense now that I think about it.

More answers and news after the break, starting with more on why Hogan chose TNA over WWE.

To add to their answer, WWE and Hogan haven't been able to come to terms for the past few years. Hogan pitched a match with Austin years back that Austin didn't (and still doesn't) want to do, so that one was shot down. He wanted to work against John Cena at WrestleMania 25 as well, but WWE wasn't willing to have him be the star of the show.

Next, I haven't seen anything about Teddy Hart in a while. Even if he's changed his ways, he's 31 now and WWE's primarily looking for wrestlers 30 and under,so I wouldn't count on it. I don't know too much about him, other than some of the incidents he's been involved in over his wrestling career, so I can't judge too much on if he should get another chance with WWE.

There's nothing else to add to their final question, so I'll move on:

Joey Styles took some jabs and cracked some jokes related to Earth Day on Twitter. He's a known Republican and has been told to tone down his political-related Tweets in the past. I personally found them pretty funny, but can see why WWE wouldn't want the head (?) of WWE.com to post things that could offend parts of their audience.

The Miami Herald has a story looking at NXT's (and FCW's) Lucky Cannon and Percy Watson. Glad those guys (and FCW as a whole) are getting some press! Glad that some of WWE's veterans are helping these guys along.

Eurogamer compared WWE to the video game industry while talking up the company and WWE All-Stars.

Rima Fakih was interviewed recently on being Miss USA and the WWE.

Jim Ross has stated that Ric Flair has not undergone surgery on his shoulder. I apologize for reporting that incorrectly. Another strike for PWTorch.com's credibility. I'm increasingly careful on what to report from there given their recent track record.

TNA has their logo on a NASCAR car. They have a good relationship with the company.

Bret Hart has some new drawings up, with all of the benefits going to the American Red Cross. Good for him. Here's the link to the one of Abdullah, and here's the one of Edge.

That's all for Saturday's news. I'll have more tomorrow.
