Rock on Jimmy Kimmel, Questions on the Impact Zone, TNA Creative, Cena, and Mysterio, Bret Hart interview, Legal updates on Neidhart, Angle and Jeff Hardy, a former WWE Diva trys out for TNA, Abyss injured, and an intervention for Hall?

The Rock talked about returning to WWE, John Cena, and his new movie on Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday night. Funny guy. Videos of his appearance there are up: Part 1 Part 2

PWInsider.com has some new questions up. First up is a rambling about TNA, so I'll address their points individually:
-No, right now it doesn't make sense to take Impact on the road full time. They're able to get a nice-sized crowd in the Impact Zone and it's equipped to do a TV show. Not that I don't want them to go on the road every once in a while. They just have to be able to make money when they do it.
-The fans at the ECW Arena actually did get kind of burned out over time, which is why ECW had to keep trying to top themselves and freshen things up. Anytime you run a lot of your shows in one venue/territory, that audience is going to get burned out quicker than if you go on the road a lot.
-It's perfectly valid to attribute some of the negative reaction to the crowd being burned out. While some wrestling fans have seen hundreds (if not thousands) of TNA matches, there are a lot of people out there who haven't, and things that are stale to the TNA regulars would be fresh to them.
-I still don't see the "TNA having a better roster than WWE" thing so many people claim. There's a reason that a good number of them aren't in WWE.

Question #2's also kind of a TNA rant, so I'll break it down, too.
- Some of TNA's talent is fairly cookie-cutter. It's just that that cutter makes flippy indy guy cookies.
- TNA does do things more long-term with some of their stories, I'll give them that.
- Everyone in TNA has a story? What's Amazing Red's? Maybe TNA does find more places for people, but a lot of times that's because those talents don't get paid unless they're booked, so TNA just throws a bunch of people together in big multi-man matches sometimes.
- Do they feature some of their talent more regularly than WWE? Maybe so, but it seems to go in phases. Jay Lethal, Kazarian, Samoa Joe, D'Angelo Dinero, and Hernandez come to mind as people who have been pushed as big deals, then end up right back in the same place they were pre-push.

All that for just two questions? Wow. More answers and news after the break, starting with whether John Cena should get more freedom with his promos.

Part of me wants John Cena to be more "edgy" or what have you with his promos, and part of me wants him to stay in the same role so that other talents can get a chance to change things and move around the card. Not to mention that he's over so much with kids that he presumably doesn't want to abandon that part of his character.

Nothing to add to #4, but I don't think they'll unmask Mysterio anytime soon, even with Sin Cara around. Those masks sell pretty well as far as I know, and it's a BIG part of his character. There's no reason to change that.

Bret Hart talked to the UK Sun about WWE dropping "wrestling" and not inducting Shawn Michaels among other things recently. He makes a very good point about the first subject, and was definitely being considered to induct his one-time nemesis. Triple H probably makes more sense in the long run, though. As far as another "moment", I'd like to see him do something else with The Miz, with Miz avenging his loss to Hart for the U.S. Title.

PWInsider.com has some corrections to their story on Jim Neidhart. I'm glad that it's not as bad as it first seemed!

Update: Apparently he was technically arrested. Either way, let's hope this doesn't happen again.

Kurt Angle was sentenced to a year of unsupervised probation (which would include jail time if violated), a chemical dependency evaluation, a $250 fine, and $225 in court fees following his North Dakota arrest. He's lucky that he didn't have a prior conviction in the state, as he would have been hit with the harsher charge of controlling a vehicle while intoxicated. I hope that this means the end of Angle's legal and drug-related woes.

Jeff Hardy's court case received YET ANOTHER continuance on Wednesday, this time making a new appearance on 6/27. Hardy could undergo a "drug treatment assessment", which could lead to a recommended treatment plan for him to undergo. If all these delays mean a clean and sober Jeff Hardy, then that's what I hope happens.

Update: Hardy's attorney is trying to get him into a drug treatment program as an alternative to jail. There's a dispute as to whether the next court date is 6/1 or 6/27.

Former WWE Diva Serena Deeb had a tryout in TNA on Tuesday. I think she could be a good fit there.

Abyss was injured at the Tuesday night Impact taping, having a tooth or two knocked out in a match. I'll report on any updates to this if/when I get them.

There are rumors out now that Scott Hall's ex-wife is trying to organize an intervention with his friends and family because they feel his mental and physical health has reached a new rock-bottom. I hope for the best for Hall. If that's what he needs, then I hope he gets it.

That's all for Wednesday's news. I'll have more tomorrow.
