Monday's news starts off with PWInsider.com's questions. First up, will Triple H push the women's and tag team divisions when he takes over WWE? Firstly, a lot of things could change between now and then. You never know how long Vince will stay in charge, and if Triple H will even be the guy to take his place. Look at how many people thought that Shane was going to replace Linda someday, and now neither are with WWE. That being said, if he did take over soon... maybe. Just like how the United States has a President, Congress, and the Supreme Court, WWE policy isn't dictated totally by one person. So, the realistic answer is pretty much that there's no way to tell. Sorry.

For question #2, let's see here: Sting vs. Hardy would have to contend with: The Nasty Boys, guys like Flair, Hogan, and Foley hurting their legacies in the ring, the way the Band storyline was handled, some of Orlando Jordan's stuff, Abyss basically killing people backstage, most of the show ReAction, and surely some other stuff I'm leaving out. I might replace "Sting vs. Hardy" with TNA's handling of Hardy's (and others') legal situations and/or the contract blunders when trying to set up they second "They" angle. They've definitely had some stuff I would have liked to have gone differently.

To #3, it's somewhat ridiculous, yeah. I can see it on a corporate level but to the fans, it's all pro wrestling. I kind of wish that WWE had someone who talked to the fans and defended some of their decisions as best as they could, i.e. "We call it entertainment because it's more than the in-ring stuff, but we're still dedicated on having that be the best that it can be".

After the break, I have more answers and a look at all of the day's news. Next up, why didn't WWE air the Hall of Fame videos for Abdullah and Bob Armstrong?

Firstly, if you're falling asleep during Raw, you might need to change your sleep schedule. Maybe it's stress or something? Seriously though, I'm going to guess that they felt that most people watching WWE don't know much about Armstrong or Abdullah, so they focused more on things they felt they'd be more interested in.

For the last question, I can see the criticism about Taker's new music. I think they're going with something different with his character now. It's more about how he survived the burial than him tolling the bells for his opponent. That's my interpretation of it.

Road Warrior Animal has a good interview up. I agree that things should be less scripted if that would make things better. Some people might work better with one, and others could be more solid ad libbers. The Hawk story was unreal. That kind of stuff's very dangerous and I hope a lot less people do those things today. I think that he could make a good coach. If that idea does get made into NXT Season 6 (the 6th person would be the winner of Season 5), that has a good deal of potential. And tag teams can be hard to pull off but potentially great if done right. Risky investment sometimes.

WWE will rename Night of Champions, and possibly change its format. Great, even less of a reason for them to pay attention to some of their titles. More of my thoughts on this will be determined by what replaces it. Hopefully not Breaking Point, because I'm thinking that didn't do so well.

Over the weekend, Beth Phoenix was moved to the Raw page of WWE.com. This could have been a mixup, or it could indicate that that switch will happen tomorrow.

Here's another post on the Urban Wrestling Federation, confirming some talents for their initial PPV. Should I keep covering it if it doesn't get a TV show? Let me know in the comments.

Kevin Sullivan, of WWE books fame, posted some quotes from Edge that didn't make his WWE Championship book. Interesting stuff.

CNN has a look at WWE's charity work during WrestleMania week. Note that CNN is based in Atlanta, where WM27 emanated.

Here's a profile of Tough Enough contestant AJ from his local newspaper.

Dave Lagana has another insightful post up, this time about the 2005 Draft and why Smackdown is seen as the "B" show.

WWE has released the cover for their Best of Nitro DVD. It includes TNA stars Sting, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Eric Bischoff. To be fair, you can't really have a Best of Nitro DVD without those guys. Now, if they had put Chris Benoit on there, THEN I'd be pretty shocked.

TMZ is reporting that Batista will not be competing for Strikeforce since that company is now owned by UFC's parent company.

PWInsider.com is reporting that there's a good chance that Christian will walk out of Extreme Rules as World Champion, especially now that Del Rio is moving to Raw. I'm interested in where he'll end up on the card with Orton being drafted.

John Miller from Oxygen's Love Games reality show will get a tryout next week with WWE. He has trained in OVW in the past, which used to be a WWE developmental territory.

In another Tough Enough interview, Central Florida Future talks with Christina Crawford. They called Bill DeMott by his old ring name Hugh Morrus, which is hilarious to me.

The latest edition of Smackdown did a 1.89. Randy Orton will surely help that number in the future.

Here's something I can't say I was expecting to see today: Stone Cold Steve Austin dancing to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up". Not sure what to call this. SteveRoll? RattlesnakeRoll?

Shawn Michaels has registered to trademark "Mr. Hall of Fame" and "Mr. HOF". Interesting. I guess that's for promoting himself in appearances.

Here's a link to a story on the campaign to get Stu Hart on Canada's Walk of Fame. Sounds good to me.

As mentioned on Raw, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross vs. Michael Cole and Jack Swagger is now a "Country Whipping match". I don't know how that differs from a regular whipping match, but I guess we'll see on Sunday.

Finally, WWE Champion The Miz will be on Dancing With The Stars Tuesday night for what some are speculating will be Chris Jericho's final night on the show.

That's all for Mondau's news. I'll have more tomorrow.
