Jericho interview, Dinero update, more on TNA rebranding, TNA ref replaced, Questions on Graham-Abdullah, piped-in crowd noise, Tough Enough training, the Raw GM, and C.M. Punk, Wolfe update, Punk, Christian, and McCool interviews, new WWE talent update, new TNA Championship, WWE on MTV, WWE Films contest, Kelly Kelly-Maxim connection, Chyna and Chris Harris updates, Austin booked on another Raw, Waltman's new WWE role, update on Randy Savage, and ratings for Raw and Tough Enough

Chris Jericho was interviewed recently on a number of topics. I agree with him on how great the angle with Shawn Michaels was. He has Fozzy dates upcoming but likely won't do reality shows. A WWE return is still up in the air.

D'Angelo Dinero has made it clear that he is NOT leaving TNA. No word on what he was hinting at on Twitter, but that wasn't it.

Update: The Twitter date was a reference to his return to Twitter. His administrator had been tweeting for him for months while he finished a degree in criminal justice. He's looking into reality shows and movies in addition to his TNA commitments.

TNA had talked about the rebranding idea for almost a year before finally changing the name of Impact. Hulk Hogan was strongly in favor of it.

TNA referee Mike Posey has returned due to Brian Hebner still recovering from knee surgery.

PWInsider.com has some new questions up.
1. Graham has come across rather bitter these past few years, though a lot of that could be related to his deteriorating health.

After the break, more answers and news, starting with issues with crowd noise.
2. It's a taped show thing. To me it makes much more sense to edit in reactions than have the TV audience thinking the wrestlers aren't over. Not many people notice. It can definitely be overdone, though. There's a reason WWE parodied the piped-in "Goldberg" chants from WCW.

3. Absolutely.... not, as I've pointed out before. Glad I'm not in training to be a wrestler!

4. NO, he doesn't. If he is, how does he send stuff to the GM computer while he's in the ring? How did his fellow commentators not see that he was sending messages to the computer from the announce table in the pre-Cole mine days? And why would he make decisions that didn't benefit him or one of his favorites? And they actually don't have to announce who it is. They can just say that the person quit and they found someone else to do it who won't be anonymous. People need to assume a lot less.

Finally, as they said, there's nothing keeping Cole from keeping himself as an announcer. And I don't see where the "Josh Mathews can carry Raw" talk comes from. He's not bad per se, but that's a pretty big stretch in my book. I'd rather have Striker in that role.

5. NXT is treated like an afterthought. C.M. Punk just isn't used as much as they could use him. In addition to the contract point, which is very valid, my guess is they realize how great he is at getting other talent over, so they use him in that role. Chris Jericho was in a similar position in his last run in the company. I really like Punk, but I see why they don't use him as much as I would like them to.

Desmond Wolfe returned to TNA as the Commissioner for their Xplosion show. There has been no "official" word for why he hasn't returned to the ring. I've seen rumors, but not that have been posted by a credible source.

The UK Sun talked to C.M. Punk about WM27, how veterans reacted to it, and being cheered on tours. I continue to believe that if you appreciate a heel's work, you should boo them. It shows them and management that they're getting across what they need to get across effectively.

Christian has a brief interview promoting the Smackdown taping in Corpus Christi.

Michelle McCool answered some fan questions on YouTube.

It is now being stated that SEVERAL new talents will be appearing on WWE TV in the near future.

TNA has created an Xplosion Championship, which entitles the holder to challenge any other champion on Impact. I think that's actually a pretty clever idea to make that show more important (it's not shown in the US).

WWE was featured on a popular MTV show at this link.

WWE Films has a contest for tickets to a WWE event and a backstage tour among other things. Smart idea.

Kelly Kelly and a WWE camera crew were sent to the Maxim Hot 100 party to capitalize on her appearance on that list.

Chyna was not at this week's Impact Wrestling tapings, nor was she scheduled to be. Chris Harris was not used on this week's show, but could be on the next edition.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be at the 6/6 Raw to announce the winner of Tough Enough.

Here's more press for the change to Impact Wrestling.

WWE has canceled a Smackdown house show on 6/6, as that crew will also be featured on that night's 3-hour Raw.

Sean Waltman has stated that it's very likely that he'll soon be working with WWE on a formal basis soon, either in front of or behind the camera. A role with talent development seems most likely. Here's the video, which also has the brother of Randy Savage saying that you'll never see the 58 year-old in a wrestling ring again. That shouldn't be too surprising.

Raw drew a 3.1 rating on Monday. Not a good sign. Hopefully it bounces back as fans get more familiar with the new faces there.

Tough Enough drew a 1.6 before Raw and a 1.14 after it, further showing its status as a hit. There has yet to be word on a second season.

That's all for Tuesday's news. More to come tomorrow.
