WWE Over The Limit preview

Pretty interesting card for tonight's PPV. Read on for how I'd book each match.

Nikki Bella runs in to try to help her sister retain the Divas' Championship, which draws out Kharma. A distracted Brie loses to Kelly. Kharma runs the Bellas off and presents Kelly with the title. The following night on Raw, the Bellas announce that Brie will get a rematch the following week. Kelly is interviewed on this and on Kharma's involvement in her matches. Kharma continues to protect Kelly and her championship from the Bellas, until she eventually wants the title for herself. The Divas try to team up and form opposition to her in the weeks and months to come, but can't dethrone her. They file protest that she's dangerous to work with, and various indy wrestlers/FCW stars step up to challenge her. Yes, something like the fan challenges in TNA. At some point down the line (meaning after the angle runs its course/she faces everyone), she moves up the card and faces men. I'm not sure who I'd have dethrone her for the title yet, but that's where I'd eventually head.

C.M. Punk and Mason Ryan put up a good fight, but just as things start to look bad for them, the other members of the New Nexus run in and cost them the match when their interference backfires. This ticks Ryan off, and they move closer to a break-up. To try to keep everyone on the same page, Otunga and McGillicutty try to win the titles back in the weeks to follow. This eventually leads to a breakup, with Ryan going after Otunga and McGillicutty before getting to Punk. Kane and Big Show then go on to feud with Rhodes and DiBiase on Smackdown.

Sin Cara is too much for Chavo to handle. Chavo might know the moves, but the younger Sin Cara outwrestles him. Chavo should sell frustration pretty well here. He gets surprised when Cara defeats him. They continue to face off a couple more times, with Chavo trying every trick in the book to win but Cara being too fast and clever for him.

R-Truth gets pretty brutal with Rey Mysterio, trying to do to him what he did with John Morrison. He wins the match but doesn't break Rey's spirit. The Raw GM chimes in before the match to make it for the #1 Contendership.

Ezekiel brings the fight to Wade Barrett, but gets into a brawl with The Corre at ringside, leading to Wade surprising him and getting the win with his feet on the ropes. On Smackdown, Wade says that Zeke has to beat Slater to get a rematch. He does, then next week Wade says he has to beat Gabriel. He does. In week 3, instead of a rematch, he has to beat both men. He does (not in a squash match, though. It takes him longer each time), and this time Theodore Long gives him the rematch at Capitol Punishment. If The Corre gets involved, Wade loses the title and they have to disband.

Michael Cole tries to hide behind Swagger, who has none of it and makes sure that he finally gets his from Lawler. He also makes sure that he doesn't escape after the match and has to kiss Lawler's foot (Jack pushes his face onto it).

Orton and Christian put on a heck of a match, which Mark Henry and Sheamus interrupt near what would have been the ending. On Smackdown, they claim that there was no winner, and the title is up for grabs. Long calls BS. Christian's upset that he didn't get a "clean" rematch, and Orton says that he'll take all three on. We get a Fatal 4-Way at Capitol Punishment.

The Miz comes out looking rather confident for his match, and toys with Cena a bit. He eventually gets him in a submitting position, and over the PA system we hear Cena's "I quit" soundbyte from Raw. Yes, I'm ripping off an ending (it's one of my favorites of all-time), but this time there's a twist. The ref knows that Cena didn't say it into the mic and looks rather confused. He doesn't call for the bell. Riley and Miz celebrate with the title, as the commentators express disbelief. In the midst of the jumping around and high-fiving and the like, a CD falls out of Riley's jacket. The refs figure out what's up, and restart the match (which has yet to officially end). A hard fought match ensues, which Cena eventually wins. Miz puts up a heck of a fight, though.

Miz complains on Raw about the match result, the referee not doing his job, etc.. Rey interrupts him and says that he has nothing to complain about, because look what Rey went through. This leads us to Rey vs. Miz and Cena vs. R-Truth at the next show.

I'll be back later tonight to cover the show as it actually goes down!
