Will Goldberg be in TNA?, Kim engaged, DeMott working indy show, Cena talks, new names for UWF First Blood, Questions on the Cole Mine, title belts, Cole vs. Lawler, and Cody Rhodes, Cracked.com looks at wrestlers as actors, Tough Enough contestants do yoga with Trish, Luger talks about working with WWE and Sting's careerand Jericho as Thor

First things first, since people are searching for it: I haven't read the spoilers for next week's Impact, but I'd be very surprised if Goldberg is the big surprise for that show. I haven't seen anything about Goldberg in a long time, as a matter of fact. It's likely just something to mess with the fans, like the woman's feet coming out of the limo when Rock was guest host.

Gail Kim is engaged to celebrity chef Robert Irvine from the Food Network. They're scheduled to be married in May 2012.

Bill DeMott (among others) is scheduled for an indy show on 5/29. That's interesting. Not sure what that means (if anything) regarding a new Tough Enough. Season 1's done taping, and a theoretical season 2 hasn't been announced, much less cast, so I wouldn't read too much into this.

John Cena gave a pretty interesting interview recently on Edge's injury and his future.

PWInsider.com has confirmed even more names for the first UWF PPV taping.

Onto their questions of the day: To add to #1, I don't think the character just THINKS he's a huge egotistical idiot.

For #2, umm... no. Some people pay WAY more attention than I do if they're spotting (or think they're spotting) some of these things.

After the break I talk about "the point" of Cole vs. Lawler, look at their other questions, and look at the rest of the day's non-financial news (which is in a separate post).

The point of the tag match was to continue the feud. It's that simple. Cole escaped his match at Mania with a win and bragged about it, so they had unfinished business. JR and Swagger were also part of the feud, so they were added to the match. Is that really so hard to understand?

To #4, they did mention it. Why don't they mention it more? Something tells me they're not using this reign to build them up as a big tag team as much as a means to an end (maybe Nexus winning the titles?).

For #5, while Rhodes isn't the most built guy on the roster, I wouldn't consider him scrawny (see Spike Dudley for scrawny). Is he sizable enough to be a main eventer? Maybe. His size isn't the most important attribute. He's not Brodus Clay or Kane. He needs to get over on other things, like Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Christian, etc. did. As for getting past the midcard, I think it could very well happen in time. I'm really liking his work.

Cracked.com praised pro wrestlers as actors. I love that website. Please send that link to anyone who goes on about wrestling being "for wimps" or "fake".

Trish Stratus posted a video of her doing yoga with the Tough Enough competitors. That could definitely help them out. It's not as easy as it looks!

Lex Luger was interviewed. He talked about his work with WWE in regards to their Wellness Department and Sting's longevity. I like that WWE is using him in that area and taking the whole thing very seriously. Good for them.

Finally, here's a video of Chris Jericho as Thor.

That's it for Thursday's news. I'll have more tomorrow.
