Questions on Summerslam in LA and my first wrestling event, updates on Desmond Wolfe and Goldberg, ROH sold, interesting WWE survey, and hype for UWF First Blood

PWInsider.com had new questions Saturday:
1. They do pretty good business there and get a good deal of press. They're trying to build Summerslam's prestige with the Hollywood connection. It's way too soon to know what they'll do with Capitol Punishment in the years to come, or if it will even exist in the years to come. It would be somewhat odd if they used a PPV name for just one show, but they did it in the past with their British PPVs.

2. Kane vs. The Undertaker vs. Mankind vs. Stone Cold in a steel cage match. Mankind retained his WWF Championship.

I don't have anything to add to 3-5.

There have been different plans to bring Desmond Wolfe back to TNA over the past few months, but none of them came to fruition. He's been developing and writing a sitcom during his time off. I'm not crazy about Wolfe, but wouldn't mind if he came back in a midcard/tag team role.

More news after the break, including a story about Goldberg.

Goldberg met with Eric Bischoff recently in New York City. More details on this as they come in.

Road Warrior Animal has been axed as guest host for upcoming Raws. He'll be replaced by Jimmy Hart. This is believed to stem from comments he made about WWE in a recent interview.

Ring of Honor is now owned by the Sinclair Broadcasting. They will be shown on TV in syndication, and PPVs are possible. If they every get on a major national network and have PPVs through cable/satellite, I'll cover them as I do WWE and TNA.

WWE has a new survey out fishing for ideas on future DVD releases. DVDs on Sting, Bruno Sammartino, and Brock Lesnar would be very surprising given where all of them are in relations to WWE. The company has hyped Lesnar's UFC fights in the past, though.

Finally, here's the latest hype video for UWF First Blood.

More news to come later today!
