More news on the passing of Randy Savage

Since a good chunk of this weekend's news (understandably) centered around Savage's death, I've decided to have this post for Saturday and Sunday's news of it. The other news will be in separate posts. I did this so those interested in one set of news but not the other wouldn't have to wade through the rest of it.

All of it is after the break.
Ric Flair was interviewed on his passing.

Jim Ross had an amazing blog post on it.

Slam! had another article on him.

This link goes to more coverage. Glad that his wife is out of the hospital.

More Twitter posts from wrestlers here: Steve Austin, The Rock, Roddy Piper, Chris Jericho, Jim Cornette, Bill DeMott, Jack Korpela, Joey Styles, Beth Phoenix, and Ricardo Rodriguez.

Here's video of Savage's historic debut in Memphis Wrestling.

Roddy Piper said on Twitter that Savage once slapped Vince McMahon in a bar, which very well could be why he's not in the Hall of Fame!

This link goes to more coverage, including thoughts from a former baseball teammate, Lance Storm, and Christopher Daniels.

Here's Jay Lethal's tribute poem.

Edit for Sunday's news:

Bellator announcers paid tribute to him.

More PWTorch.com readers gave their memories.

TMZ has a report on his autopsy being completed.

WWE has posted a multitude of videos from Savage's career.

ESPN's Pardon The Interruption talked about Savage.

WWE has a look back at his career.

Here's a link to some "vintage" Savage moments from his early days.

That's all for this weekend's Savage news. More will be covered in future posts.
