Brock appearances update, Interview with RVD, Jarrett update, notes on new U.S. lucha series, Impact audience, Jake Roberts hospitalized, Devitt update, WWE Magazine closes and Questions on splitting the Bellas, non-WWE docs on the Network, battle royal matches, sources on docs and Ventura

Brock Lesnar is advertised for the Smackdown ahead of Hell in a Cell. It must be something to make the Thursday night move more special, because he's very rarely on that show.

Rob Van Dam talked after the final Raw of this run. RVD's an amazing performer, but his promos are dry as dirt sometimes.

Here's a trailer for a Brothers of Destruction DVD. Taker and Kane used to be really dominant and awesome. Now they're really winding things down. How much more can WWE get out of the two of them in the ring at this point?

Jeff Jarrett made a splash in Japan on behalf of GFW by joining AJ Styles' Bullet Club faction. That group's the big talk of the Japanese wrestling scene.

Everything else from Thursday is after the break.

Here are a lot of notes on the upcoming lucha series on El Rey Network, namely how contracts work and the disputed nature of that. That definitely sounds like a tough sell for the talents involved. It'd be cool to see John Morrison again, but I don't think there's a high chance of that happening.

Ryback talked about why he's missing time. Is he loopy on pain pills or something? It's tough to tell with how strange his Internet presence usually is.

The 8/27 Impact brought in 928,000 viewers. That's a jump from their first week on Wednesdays, which is encouraging. There's still a big segment of the Thursday audience missing, though, and they'll need to get that back soon.

Jake Roberts fell into a coma late last week, believed to be a result of double pneumonia. Double pneumonia is no joke. I hope he recovers.

Update: Roberts came out of the coma Thursday. As of Thursday, he was still fighting double pneumonia and doctors were running more tests. I hope he pulls through!

Fergal Devitt talked about his training thus far in NXT. It's going to be a painful wait for Devitt, Steen and Kenta to make it to the main roster.

WWE Magazine has officially shut down. It's the end of an era as WWE keeps cutting costs. I think they did great work, but magazines aren't what they used to be in the digital era.

For my take on Thursday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It would be good for that direction to be taken to further solidify the split. I think the Twitter account splitting would be the Bellas' personal decision, not WWE's, but I could be wrong.

2. I don't see it anytime soon. As was said, they're going to monetize all their own content first. Plus, why pay for and air something like that when they can make their own documentaries with their own spin in-house?

3. That's pretty much it. There are some loose guidelines and some things the performers are specifically instructed to do, but the promoter also gives some wiggle room for things that don't really affect the final outcome.

4. As long as the wrestler in question knows what they're talking about, I don't have an issue with it. If those in charge just pick whomever's free backstage for some sound bites, that's when it's a problem.

5. It's a little complicated, no? I doubt WWE's going to pay Ventura anything they don't have to when they can edit the commentary as they see fit.

More wrestling coming up.
