Del Rio's AAA debut set, Kenta to appear on NXT, leaked Raw script, Impact audience, Rivers-WWE connection and Questions on Jerry Springer, Lashley in MMA, I-G-G-Y in WWE, worked shoots, and Bully vs. Brock

El Patron, the former Alberto Del Rio, is wrestling September 13 and 14 for AAA. He's apparently worked out something with WWE in regard to his no-compete clause. It's unclear whether this means he can work in TNA or elsewhere in the U.S.. I'd assume not. I imagine he'll do AAA instead either way.

Kenta will make his NXT TV debut next week at Takeover, being welcomed by Ric Flair. That's a big start for him! I'm curious who his first feud will be. I think Tyson Kidd (with Justin Gabriel as his "sidekick") would be great given how Kidd can work with just about anyone.

The script for the Labor Day Raw has been leaked. It even includes hashtags! I love how they actually used the name "Damien Mizdow", too.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
The former Kizarny gave an update on Jake Roberts. Things are improving still, but he's not out of the woods yet. I'm glad substance abuse wasn't a factor.

The Impact audience for Wednesday was 1.1 million viewers. They're more or less on par with some episodes that have been on Thursdays, but behind where they were before the move. The move might have been the right move, though, given the increased competition on Thursdays this fall.

Joan Rivers passed away at the age of 81. She did ring announcing for the main event of WrestleMania 2. I'm surprised WWE didn't use her more recently. She'll be missed.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That's a good point! The Michael Sam issue just happened to fall into their lap at the same time as the Springer appearance. They probably either didn't see the conflict there or didn't care!

2. That's pretty much it. If Lashley wins, they'll probably plug the hell out of it. If he loses, I could see a face ragging Lashley for it.

3. I don't know if WWE should be throwing around that kind of money right now. Especially since it may or may not actually help WWE's business in the long run.

4. Ahh yes, the old "worked shoot" approach. Probably a Russo idea.

5.  Cena's headlined many a top-tier PPV and held more World Titles than nearly anyone in history. Bully Ray was a tag team guy for most of his WWE career and his only World Titles came in a promotion a lot of WWE fans don't watch. So, it's not axiomatic he'd be considered as at Brock's level. I'd love to see him get thrown around by Brock, though. They can easily play off the Paul Heyman connection. As for him actually being signed, that's still an unknown. I wouldn't be surprised if there was still heat on WWE's part.

More wrestling tomorrow.
