No Sam in WWE, current NoC lineup, NXT Diva leaves, Jake Roberts update, Sting DVD trailer, Raw audience, more on Springer, WWE honors Connor again, TNA taping updates, another name not on El Rey, Questions on Bully Ray in WWE, Reigns vs. Rollins, Wyatt's booking, Ambrose being lost, and commentator nicknames

WWE has dropped all references to Michael Sam from their website. And so, another publicity stunt in the wrestling world goes unfulfilled.

Update: Michael Sam has been signed to the Dallas Cowboys, so don't expect him to be on Raw.

Update: WWE congratulated Sam for being signed. So, hopefully this story's pretty much wrapped up.

Set for Night of Champions:
- WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
- United States Championship: Sheamus vs. Cesaro
- Intercontinental Championship: Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz

NXT backstage announcer Veronica Lane has left the company. Thankfully they have plenty of other people for the role.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Jake Roberts' health is improving. It sounds like things are getting better. I'm glad he still has his humor about him.

Here's the trailer for the WWE Sting DVD. It's finally happening! Next stop: Hall of Fame? A match with Taker? Both?

Here's a piece on the most recent Smackdown taping. Having Cena on Smackdown is a big move.

Raw's audience Monday was 3.92 million. Holidays generally produce lower numbers.

WWE put out a press release about Jerry Springer being on next week's Raw. Should be fun (?)

WWE's promoting Childhood Cancer Month. They do a LOT of charity.

This weekend, TNA's taping One Night Only PPVs as well as footage for Xplosion and British Boot Camp. Only Sunday's taping is an Impact Wrestling taping. They will tape footage to air after BFG before the end of September, though. It will be very interesting to see what direction they go for after the PPV.

Add Joey Ryan to those who won't be on Lucha Underground. I mostly liked what he did in TNA. It's a shame he got cut.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Bully Ray as a producer or something works for me. A Hall of Fame run for the Dudleys is cool, too. I don't know if he'd work as a long-term, full-time guy there, but it's worth looking into. Anyone who expects him to be "Bully Ray" and get the attention he got in TNA is going to be disappointed.

2. It makes sense for Night of Champions to have something on the line, but I don't see why The Authority would have Rollins defend the briefcase.

3. Wins and losses don't mean everything. Bray's still pretty strong. All that stuff. It's the same argument as always. I do want Wyatt to be protected more and like Cena doing more suplexes, so I'm in agreement there.

4. As much as I'd be OK with it, I do think it could hurt him as a serious character if they go the same route they went with Cactus.

5. I generally find them pretty amusing. I like the custom move names and such, too. It breaks the monotony.

More wrestling tomorrow.
