WWE live event notes, new match set for BFG, Joe update, more TNA TV tapings coming?, assorted TNA updates, Sin Cara I back on U.S. TV?, WWE scouting, Kane appearance, origins of Devitt's new ring name, and Questions on WCW music, the Wyatts, and commentary

On this weekend's WWE live events, NXT Champion Adrian Neville beat Tyson Kidd. WWE is also continuing to experiment with the trio of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. I'm glad Neville's getting experience, and hope something comes of that group.

In less exciting live events news, Big Show beat Bray Wyatt clean with the KO Punch, and Great Khali beat Slater Gator in a handicap match. Both results sound miserable.

James Storm and The Great Sanada vs. Tajiri and The Great Muta is set for Bound For Glory. That will be pushed as the main event on the Japan side of things. I suppose it's only fitting for a major TNA show to focus on names from 10+ years ago. I'm curious to see how long the latter team can "go".

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Samoa Joe is suffering from rib issues, but worked through some days of the recent TNA tapings before vacating the X-Division Championship.  Joe should be one of the focal points of TNA if he can stay healthy.

Dixie Carter teased more TV tapings in New York City. It'll be interesting to see if they tape any new material before the January UK shows. It's going to be tough to fill airtime if they don't.

Impact Wrestling is taped through 11/19. There are currently plans for two-to-three highlight shows. It will be tricky to do "Best Of" shows or recap shows if the talents featured won't be around in 2015. I wouldn't assume Team 3D or Kurt Angle will be appearing past what's already been taped.

TNA has loosened their policy regarding having talents work outside indie dates for DVD purposes. Given how bare their schedule is right now, that's the right move. I'm sure there are talents who could get more consistent bookings outside the company.

The original Sin Cara could end up working for Lucha Underground. I'm guessing he'd be allowed to work a style he's more familiar with there. I'd like to see what he can do when he's in his own element.

WWE was recently scouting for talent in the UK. NXT was never called Ohio Valley Wrestling. That's a totally separate promotion. That said, I hope there's solid talent there.

Kane was part of anti-bullying program. I wouldn't be surprised if he continues to do things like this for his community after his WWE career wraps up.

NXT's Finn Balor, formerly Prince Devitt, talked about his new ring name. Finn comes from the name of a legendary mythical warrior, while Balor is Celtic for "The Deadly One". Pretty awesome name from that perspective. I care less about what new names stars are given than what they do in the ring and how well they get over.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. If they think there's enough demand (and money to be made), I think they'll do their best to get it released.

2. WWE completely dropped the ball with the Wyatts. Bray vs. Jericho should have been set for Night of Champions, but they wanted to use Orton instead. The company needs less focus on guys like Orton and Big Show, and more focus on emerging acts like Bray. I like Orton, but the feud with Jericho was really thrown together at the expense of the Wyatts' heat.

3. Raw's commentary is generally pretty terrible anyway. WWE does still mostly do shows in the U.S., so WWE uses the situation with Russia to get heat for that audience. It is disrespectful to the disrupt another country's national anthem, but I guess WWE feels it's OK since they're "the bad guys".

Nothing to add to 4 or 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
