Read on for my thoughts on last night's Friday Night Smackdown.
- Vince/Fiend/Braun/RETRIBUTION:
It made sense to start Thunderdome with The Fiend.
No way does RETRIBUTION destroy Thunderdome! Amway Center will have a fit!
That was all pretty wild. I hope RETRIBUTION has recruited other upset roster members.
I like that segue to Sheamus vs. Big E.
- Sheamus vs. Big E:
Pretty solid work so far.
I like this physicality.
Haha same endings as ever.
- Jeff backstage:
Well we know he wasn't attacked by Gallows and Anderson!
- LHP/Cesaro/Shinsuke:
They clearly feel that having more chaos will help audience levels.
- Cesaro/Shinsuke vs. Lince/Gran:
I like the work between Gran and Cesaro.
Enjoyable work here.
Solid action all around.
That was a good ending.
- Post-match:
Honestly, sure, split the group up and move them to different shows. They're not doing much else.
- AJ interview:
Hahahah I like him more as a heel.
I liked the triple champions spot.
- Mandy interview:
They're in a REALLY weird situation keeping this angle going.
- Sasha/Bayley/Naomi:
Pretty good interview segment.
Yeah some of the logic from the heels is dizzying.
Um... OK. Seems a little out of nowhere from Naomi.
Interesting way to continue things.
- Sasha vs. Naomi:
Impressive work early.
Wowwwwww that didn't work out so well for Naomi, huh? The match was good for the time it had, though.
- Bayley vs. Naomi:
I hope she ties Sasha's time so they have a double title defense or something else convoluted. Might as well go all out in that direction at this stage.
Oh... well. That complicates things.
- Post-match:
Fine overall. I would think Naomi would qualify for a title match based on beating Bayley, so we'll see if that holds true.
- Jeff promo:
They're stacking the odds against him, I see!
- Sonya/Mandy/Dana:
Well that confirms Deville is still the heel!
WOWWWWWWW is Sonya leaving?????
- Nikki promo:
I'm intrigued with this direction.
- Bryan promo:
Pretty good!
- AJ vs. Jeff:
I really like AJ's focus here.
They're definitely telling a story in this one.
HAHAHAHAH AJ just lost to an injured opponent. It really feels like they change directions on the fly.
- Post-match:
Pretty cool.
- AJ/Park:
Fine by me. Obviously AJ vs. Abyss is an intriguing idea if they want to do that.
- Fun House:
The craziness of the Fun House continues.
More wild antics.
Well, Bray wanted to bring out Braun's vicious side!
The spectacles continue.
