Rock teases return match, Bayley gets approval from singer, Hardy injury update, wrestling content updates, McAfee vs. Cole official, remembering Mitch Ryder, more from Jannetty, Dynamite+NXT audiences, Smackdown additions, and Questions on Prichard burying Aldis, blood in AEW, WWE's new faction being released stars, and Taker returning

The Rock and Daniel Bryan teased having a match on Twitter: Tweet 1 Tweet 2 Rock has previously stated he's retired, so I wouldn't expect this to actually happen.

Hayley Williams has given Bayley permission to use her new single "Simmer" at WrestleMania 37. I would assume WWE would still need to make a deal with her label for the rights, payment, etc.

Matt Hardy needed 13 stitches after Dynamite. His bleeding wasn't planned and was the result of Sammy Guevara throwing a chair in his face. That's pretty brutal! I'm glad he's OK. That spot really added to the angle, but was obviously quite dangerous.

Private Party are on AEW Unrestricted this week.

Vickie Guerrero has joined "The Laugh Track" podcast as a co-host.

Triple H appeared on ESPN's Get Up to challenge Pat McAfee to wrestle Adam Cole at Takeover, which Cole and McAfee accepted. Let me get this straight. Triple H is the one who challenged McAfee to have a match with Cole? Really seems like that should be Adam's responsibility.

Ace Steel is on the Working Fan's Podcast.

Marvelous Mitch Ryder passed away at 48. PWInsider covered his career, as well as condolences from people he had worked with.

Marty Jannetty discussed his recent social media claims on the Boston Wrestling podcast. Please be aware the interview discusses attempted sexual assault and potentially a murder confession: Link

- Local press has picked up Jannetty's claims.

Dynamite drew 901,000 viewers this week, impressively up from last week. That's a particularly strong number in the pandemic era.

NXT drew 753,000 viewers this week, showing some improvement from last week.

Smackdown has added:
- Sheamus vs. Matt Riddle
- Firefly Fun House

Brandi Rhodes is on Vickie Guerrero's latest podcast.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Bruce clearly hit a nerve with Aldis. While Aldis is well-suited (no pun intended) for his current NWA run, I don't see him as having star-level charisma to succeed somewhere more prominent.

2. Part of the appeal of AEW is that they allow more leeway than WWE and feature some elements WWE won't feature. Blood and some of the more hardcore bumps fit into that, as do some of the high-flying stunts.

3. That would be clever, but I don't see it happening since the whole reason they cut people was to cut costs. Frankly it could be an easy way to feature WWEPC wrestlers they've had for a while and don't know what else to do with. They've got a lot of people under contract who would normally be training in the place WWE is holding tapings.

4. He's open to a return under the right circumstances. I could see him facing AJ when crowds return if he thinks the match will hold up.

5 is specific to them.

More wrestling tomorrow.
