Arrow star update, Interview with Kaufman author, Smackdown match, Vince thanks Nassau, Raw cameo, more NXT merch, another Nash match?, assorted WWE press, latest on TNA-DA, Zayn update, member of TNA Creative leaving, another former TNA Champion departing?, note on Sasha Banks, Smackdown visitors, next Takeover special set, Young documentary, Itami update, another NXT live event set, and Questions on Russo, Taker's streak, heel authority figures, and Brock stealing MITB

Stardust challenged Arrow's Stephen Amell. I'd be down for that. Maybe on the Summerslam  Kickoff show or something?

An author of a big Andy Kaufman book discussed the feud with Lawler and more. Memphis was CRAZY and so was Kaufman. Really something to read about. Kaufman definitely belongs in the Hall of Fame for that feud.

Ryback vs. Rusev is set for Smackdown to promote Sunday's Elimination Chamber. I think it's obvious how that one goes.

WWE released video of Vince McMahon thanking the Nassau Coliseum crowd for all the events held there. It's definitely had its history.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

ROH's Will Ferrara was the cameraman in the Dean Ambrose angle on Raw. BAH GAWD ROH VS. WWE IS FINALLY HAPPENING!!! Just kidding. Ferrara lives in the area.

WWE has released a new "Fight Owens Fight" shirt. I hope he's a big success for NXT and WWE.

WWE pulled their new Hideo Itami shirt because some of the Japanese characters were wrong. Couldn't they have just asked Itami which ones they needed? I assumed it was pulled because we won't be seeing him for a while.

Kevin Nash pitched a big retirement match for the Network, later saying he was being sarcastic. He should have retired at the 2011 Royal Rumble, if not earlier. But he's going to keep working as long as someone keeps paying him. I can't really blame him there. I just don't want to see it.

R-Truth talked ahead of Smackdown. No mention of Little Jimmy? Jimmy was so over.

Jim Ross gave further thoughts on the TNA-DA issue. With no press release from the network denying the claims, I'm leaning toward believing we could see the end of Impact Wrestling on the channel in the fall. There's time for them to change their minds, and TNA could end up on yet another channel, but this definitely isn't a positive sign for them.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are advertised for WWE's tour of Australia this August. Whether Zayn can be there remains to be seen. It could be someone like Finn Balor taking his place.

Update: Zayn should be undergoing surgery shortly. Word on when he can return should follow.

Christy Hemme has given notice to leave TNA for a job outside of wrestling. I'm under the impression she was involved with booking the Knockouts division. It'll be interesting to see what changes in her absence, if anything.

Austin Aries' TNA contract expires sometime in June. I believe his current match series is set to conclude at Slammiversary. He's easily one of the top workers there. Him not re-signing would royally suck. As much as I'd love to see him work NXT and WWE, he'd be quite the loss for TNA.

There has been a story making the rounds about Dixie Carter accidentally CC'ing a top Destination America executive on an email complaining about the network. Needless to say, TNA and DA aren't on the greatest of terms.

Sasha Banks didn't wrestle at the recent NXT TV tapings, but isn't injured. I'm guessing we'll see her in vignettes. They kept the title on her for a reason.

David Otunga was backstage at Smackdown. He's another guy they need to figure out what to do with one way or another. I wouldn't be shocked to see him move on when his contract's up. I like him, but they're not really using him.

Update: Charlotte was also backstage. I suspect we'll see her be called up soon.

The next NXT Takeover special is set for August 12. So they're keeping them at one every three months for now. I think they could move to one every two months. People obviously love their product.

Here's a mini-documentary on Darren Young. Is that future WWE Tag Team Champion Darren Young?

An AskMen.com writer defended pro wrestling. It's a shame people still have to defend it. And I hope Bryan isn't retiring.

Hideo Itami has successfully undergone surgery. I hope this isn't too big of a setback for him.

NXT will be part of a heavy metal music festival in October. I hope that's a good, sizable crowd for them.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Russo might have been exhausted after the PPV and in no mood to argue. Either way, he should probably take a break from worrying about what's written on wrestling websites. It's not like they're really going to change things because of him.

2. That's pretty much it. Things just happened to align that they had Taker win year after year, then someone discovered he had a streak going. So they started marketing that and booking with it in mind.

3. I also think the heel-in-power angle has been really overdone. Authority figures in general have gotten way too much screen time. I like William Regal's role in NXT. He's there when they need him to set something up or do something from an authority figure perspective (someone's got to sign talents, make matches, etc.), but otherwise he stays out of the way and lets the wrestlers shine.

4. I definitely think intentional blading and direct shots to the head are banned in 2015 for good reason. I like a good crazy hardcore brawl here and there, but I don't think I'd want to see a whole show that's mostly that.

5. I don't see much reason to put him in the MITB match unless he just shows up near the end and destroys everyone, then climbs the ladder. Either way, he definitely doesn't need the briefcase.

More wrestling tomorrow.
