Live event notes for WWE and NXT, Taker book update, WWE name copyrighted, TNA announces live event, award for Titus, and Questions on wrestling documentaries, the U.S. Title, training for WWE, and Sandow

Paige returned at the end of Tamina/Naomi vs. The Bellas at a live event this weekend. I wouldn't be shocked to see that same finish tonight!

WWE's Undertaker book will focus on his legacy in the company. I don't expect it to pull back the curtain on the man himself. I hope we do see something like that one day, though.

Rusev's star medal was stolen at a live event. That's terrible, and very disappointing behavior for the person or people who took it.

WWE has filed to copyright the name Sami Zayn. Why did they wait until now? They already have Zayn merchandise!

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

TNA has announced a live event for September 17. I hope they can pick business back up with live events, etc.. Buzz for the promotion has really dropped the last two years or so. In some ways, they're pretty much where they were right when they signed on to Spike in last 2005. I think they have a lot more international clearances now, though, for what that's worth.

Titus O'Neil was awarded Celebrity Dad of the Year, which is awesome.

Update: Batista commented on him winning the honor. I hope his remarks don't cost PTP any kind of push.

Here are results from NXT's live event in Albany:
- I hope we see Solomon Crowe show us what impressed those who cheered for him in CZW.

- We'll see how Dillinger works out on TV. Maybe. He doesn't really appear there much.

- That main event sounds great. It might be what they do Wednesday if Zayn can't work then.

Update: here's another report from that event. People are liking what they're seeing.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Those are the two people generally mention. To me, it depends on WHY you like wrestling and what you want to get across. Is the passion of the performers? Is it the characters? Is it the pure athletic ability? There are different things to show for different reasons. It's silly people still use the "it's fake" thing. The actors in The Avengers weren't really superheroes, but people still came out to see it!

2. I agree that WWE would probably put a lot of modern stuff on there for it to sell. There could definitely be some great older material, but how many fans want to watch it?

3. That's a good answer. I'd want to go somewhere where I could add more skills and moves. If I'm an average wrestler, going to TNA isn't going to change that as much as going somewhere and learning a different style would.

4. Oh, boy. As was said, Sandow's pretty much where he was before working with Miz. He was an impersonator who's now paired with another impersonator. It makes sense to pair a Savage impression with a Hogan impression, so they went that route. WWE can't push everyone. Someone has to work the opening matches. They choose who they think will work out best higher up on the card and keep some other acts lower down. It's not a perfect process, so sometimes talented names end up lower than they could be because for whatever reason WWE doesn't think they'll work out long-term higher up on the card. It's rarely a case of punishing someone for getting over on their own.

Nothing to add to 5.
