Read on for how I'd book tonight's special edition of Impact Wrestling.
Yes, I know the show's already been taped. I haven't read the spoilers, nor do I plan to.
I also know they've already had a Hardcore Justice special taped to air later this year. Eventually they run out of names I guess.
There's no reason for Taryn to lose the title right after her big heel turn. She retains, then The Doll House makes it three-on-one. Kong comes down to "even things up." Next week, we get Marti Bell vs. Laura Dennis. I think the obvious direction for Slammiversary is Taryn vs. Kong with The Doll House banned from ringside. Before then, they can have Brooke and Dennis try to counter Taryn's new entourage. Although, realistically, Kong can probably squash them both. Maybe Havok returns to prevent Kong from winning the title at some point and we end up with a triple threat at Slammiversary? I'm just throwing around ideas here.
Galloway gets the pipe but gets jumped before he can use it. An all-out war between BDC and The Rising results. If Homicide isn't cleared to compete, they can have The Rising "injure" him so it's just three-on-three at Slammiversary. There should be some kind of fun gimmick match there. Fans bring the weapons? Weapons hung around the ring like the Clockwork Orange House of Fun? Really they just need a reason for them to all beat the hell out of each other with pipes and stuff.
Spud escapes the X-Division ladder match by the skin of his teeth. It's not time for him to lose the title yet.
The Revolution loses, but tries to do to Richards what happened to Edwards to send a message to The Hardys. They're coming for the tag team titles.
Aries inadvertently KOs Angle when trying to get revenge on Young. Young wins, and we're on the road to King of the Mountain at Slammiversary between Angle, EY, Aries (not cashing in), Lashley, and Roode.
I kind of rushed through this, but it was just kind of a fun booking exercise. I'll be back with how the real thing went tomorrow.
