Major WWE show in Australia, NXT and MITB hype, Ambrose update, injured star at Raw, Stephanie episode available online, former NXT star to Japan, Duke wrestler trying out for WWE, HHH conference call, and Questions on South Park's wrestling episode, ROH's future with FOX getting SDL, and the state of Impact

WWE announced a major live WWE Network special from Australia, in the more than 100,000-capacity Melbourne Cricket Ground. That venue is paying to bring them in as a special attraction.

- Announced for the show are Triple H vs. The Undertaker "for the last time ever," as well as Shawn Michaels, Ronda Rousey, John Cena, Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Big Show, and Daniel Bryan. Brock Lesnar is not advertised. So, this show could see Shawn Michaels have a final match, and indicates WWE expects Daniel Bryan to remain with the company after his current deal ends on September 1, while they aren't sure Brock Lesnar will be staying past Summerslam. Very, very newsworthy show.

- WWE put out an official press release for the event. This should absolutely be a major priority given the potential to set an attendance record for the company in the country. It will be a tall order, but we'll see if they can do it.

The Undisputed Era attacked Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch at an NXT live event before Takeover. UE has really been great.

Dean Ambrose was recently at the WWE Performance Center to rehabilitate his torn triceps. So, he's begun that stage of the recovery process. It's notable he's not advertised for the Australian event in early October. It could still be some time before we see him back in the ring.

NXT released a Ricochet documentary. It's been a long road for him to get to WWE. I'm glad he's succeeding there.

Alicia Fox is set for Raw, but she might not return on-screen. They could sacrifice her to Ronda or Nia if they wanted to.

Stephanie McMahon's "Undercover Boss" episode is now available on-demand.

The former Abbey Laith is going to debut in STARDOM soon. I hope that's a good move for her. I'm surprised she didn't make it further in WWE.

A Duke wrestler was profiled before trying out for WWE. I hope he does well.

Ember Moon promoted MITB. She's someone who can break out if they get behind her.

Triple H did a conference call after Takeover:Chicago, covered here:
- That needs to be the final bout between Ciampa and Gargano unless they're doing Hell in a Cell or something (which would be three months before WarGames). They're absolutely amazing together, but they've seemingly reached a plateau.

- NXT has definitely had some solid workers come up through the WWEPC.

- I hope we see another Shayna/Nikki bout before she moves up.

- WOW. Bigger than Jay-Z and Beyoncé??????

- I guess the UK brand is kind of like 205 Live, each of which are different from NXT.

- People obsess too much over how people are booked post-NXT. NXT is the pet project to have good matches before people go work for Vince, who's going to do things differently.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. They used the low-hanging fruit of wrestling fans being inbred rednecks and everything being Jerry Springer-esque. Very low effort.

Nothing to add to 2.

3. FOX's deal is only for the United States, so Canadian outlets will be unaffected. Additionally, ROH will continue to air on Sinclair-owned stations.

4. As was said, things are improving after most of the big expensive contracts have been dropped and they're working with other promotions to tape content/get their people work. Anthem is committed to continuing to give Callis and D'Amore the opportunity to get things going again.

5. I haven't been to nearly enough venues to have a good opinion here.

More wrestling tomorrow.
