Rockin' Rebel death updates, assorted WWE press, Rock gives advice to NXT star, and Questions on SDL's move affecting the brand split, WWE dropping brand names, where NXT callups are, and the NHL using WWE songs

Rockin' Rebel's death has officially been ruled a murder-suicide by the local police department. That's a very, very sad ending for the couple.

- A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help with burial costs. That family is going through a lot right now, and I hope they can get through this terrible time together.

Sin Cara sent masks to the Mexican soccer team. That's pretty cool.

Korean pop group BTS connected with John Cena. That just goes to show how big of a deal Cena is inside and outside of wrestling.

Kalisto was at the MTV Latin America Millennial Awards. Cool to see him getting featured like that.

Bret Hart vs. Bobby Roode was played out in action figure form. I love this series.

The Rock responded to NXT's Dakota Kai shouting him out. It's good to see him helping out the new stars like that.

Kurt Angle now has his own candy bar, fittingly with milk involved. FYE has that and other WWE-centered chocolate bars available, in addition to Booty-O's.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think they'll keep the same format, but make sure each side has a more even split of top names. I like the Superstar Shakeup for the most part, since it shuffles every division and level of the card.

2. They've got 25 years invested in the name Raw and 19 invested in the name Smackdown. They're not changing either.

3. WWE's in something of a conundrum, because the Deleters just won the title. So they either cut their reign pretty short or have them beat the dominant threat of the Authors. It's just a matter of time before the two sides collide. Ideally they'd have the Authors work their way up the card to face those two at Summerslam, but it doesn't look like they have things that well under control. There's also the matter of what to do with the team of Dolph and Drew.

4. As I understand it, the arenas are allowed to play those songs over the PA system but not over the air as part of the broadcast. Either that of WWE likes the publicity and is fine with them continuing!

5. They just hit live events. Like in question three, it's just a matter of time before they cross paths with the team that won the title at WrestleMania, which is something that should be saved for a big occasion. I think WWE knows both squads are special, but doesn't want to cut off the Deleters or Bludgeon Brothers too early.

More wrestling tomorrow.
