WWE fires executive over wife's controversial tweets, E&C podcast note, NXT gets special shirt for UK, WWE names at Impact star's wedding, more Stardom names working WOH, several ROH Texas matches set, another ROH event announced, WWE coming to free Mexican TV, Impact using RISE talent, WWE announces new UK tour, Axel anniversary, Interview with Mauro, ECW star found in apparent murder-suicide, and Questions on Alicia's WWE status, and how SDL's move changes things for WWE

WWE has released their senior vice president of global content distribution and business development after discovering his wife prominently and regularly tweets anti-Islamic content. Given WWE's attempts to expand their presence in the Muslim world, this was somewhat inevitable. Public companies don't want to alienate large portions of their potential audience by being associated with extremist views.

Edge and Christian did a Q&A session on their latest podcast.

NXT has a special shirt for the UK Download Festival. That's pretty cool.

The Miz and Zack Ryder were at Johnny Impact's recent wedding. It's nice to see they all still have such a bond.

Stardom's Mayu Iwatani and Hana Kimura will compete at Best in the World and the following night's TV taping. It's good WOH is making use of international talents.

ROH has announced the following additional matches for Texas:
-- June 15 in San Antonio:
- SoCal Uncensored vs. Atlantis, Stuka, Jr., and Guerrero Maya, Jr.
- Sumie Sakai and Tenille Dashwood vs. Thunder Rosa and Kelly Klein
- Cody vs. Jonathan Gresham

-- June 16 in Dallas:
- The Briscoes vs. Killer Elite Squad for the ROH World Tag Team Championship
- The Kingdom vs. Atlantis, Stuka, Jr., and Guerrero Maya, Jr., for the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship
- Tenille Dashwood vs. Thunder Rosa

ROH has announced a Pennsylvania show on August 25 at the former ECW Arena. That venue remains a popular destination all these years later.

Mexico is now getting one-hour versions of Raw and Smackdown with Spanish commentary. That's another successful expansion there.

Impact Wrestling is making use of RISE's Shotzi Blackheart at the current TV tapings after Blackheart impressed management at a recent seminar. It's expected further RISE stars will make their way there as well. That's a good move to stock up the Knockouts division.

Raw and Smackdown Live will tour the UK from November 3 through November 11, with TV tapings for Raw on the 5th and SDL for the 6th. I look forward to seeing how the WWE:UK brand will interact with the main brands on the tour.

Curtis Axel celebrated ten years in WWE. It really hasn't seemed like that long! Wow!

Mauro Ranallo talked about his documentary and mental health. I'm glad his battle has been received so well, and I hope good things are headed for him and others suffering from mental disorders.

Former ECW wrestler Rockin' Rebel and his wife have tragically passed away in what is believed to have been a murder-suicide. PWInsider.com has a rundown of Rebel's career, as well as reactions from those who knew him. That's an incredibly sad end for the couple; I hope the best for their children.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Either she's waiting to be cleared or WWE hasn't figured out what to with her yet. I'm leaning toward the former, since I'd expect them to just pop her back on Main Event and live events when she's ready to get back in the ring.

2. Once the new deal kicks in, WWE will definitely shift focus more toward Smackdown Live. They'll either have top stars take the WWE Title or make a blue Universal Title for SDL. In the meantime, though, the Brock Lesnar Invitational Title is still above the IWGP/ROH Alumni belt.

3. If they don't split the production team up, they're pretty much going to have to have them on the road on weekends. It's not ideal either way, but hopefully WWE will compensate those staff accordingly with the new TV revenue. We'll see.

4. I expect SDL will tour Thursday through Sunday while Raw will tour Friday through Monday so both sides have an even number of shows.

5. I expect them to change their touring schedule so they can do Friday night tapings overseas.

More wrestling tomorrow.
