NXT signing, former Impact World Champion's contract expiring, Cena puts over NXT name and answers questions, assorted WWE notes, WWE Network vintage content notes, Raw south of the border, Harper profiled, Arquette back in the ring, more on WWE TV deal, Brock update, when WWEPC signings are set to start, MYC scouting continues, legend retires, another NXT title match set for WWE:UK, Regal update, MITB title match set, and Questions on SDL changing, Riley returning to WWE, WWE being for sale, Impact's international TV homes, and WWF New York

NXT has signed Deonna Purrazzo to start working this summer. That's especially notable since she's been a big part of the Women of Honor division. She had signed a deal with ROH, but has opted out in order to take WWE's deal. Deonna is absolutely someone who can have a future; it's going to be tough for ROH to replace her.

Eli Drake is set to become a free agent this weekend. Impact is looking to sign him to a new contract.  WWE could presumably throw a lot of money at him if they so wanted, but I don't know how far he'd be able to get if he returned to NXT, considering EC3's current standing there.

John Cena put over The Velveteen Dream during a Q&A at Megacon. I hope we do see Dream do big things.

Drew McIntyre is on Jim Ross' latest podcast.

205 Live's Vic Joseph will cover the NBA finals for ESPN Cleveland and SiriusXM. That's a nice role for him.

AJ Styles will launch a gaming series on YouTube called "Retro Styles." That should be interesting.

Xavier Woods, Tyler Breeze, and Ember Moon filmed D&D-related material for an upcoming Up Up Down Down show.

John Cena answered some absurd fan questions as if he was on a date. He handles these silly things well.

Georgia Championship Wrestling has made its debut on WWE Network, as part of a Hidden Gem where Jack Brisco challenged Ric Flair for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. If people view that a lot, WWE will likely move to make more GCW content available soon.

Smackdown Live drew 2.20 million viewers for the second straight week. I'm sure they'll do much better on FOX.

Raw has a Mexico City live event set for December 1. That's pretty cool.

More Mid-South Wrestling episodes from 1983 and 1984 have hit WWE Network.

Harper's pre-WWE days were profiled. It's always pretty cool to see how wrestlers change over the course of their careers.

David Arquette is returning to wrestling. I'm shocked it took him this long! Hopefully he'll be in a future WWE game and finally get that Hall of Fame nod.

Smackdown Live will remain live on FOX, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Friday nights.

NBCU initially offered a ten-year deal to keep both Raw and Smackdown Live, but bidding got to the point where they were willing to let SDL go. They were very surprised at the demand from outside for the "B" show.

FOX's focus on live sports led to them seeking WWE content. They're selling their studios as part of this move.

WWE is expected to become more profitable than UFC in 2020 as each side's new TV deals take effect. That's a big change from the last decade-plus.

Brock Lesnar is expected to hold the Universal Championship going into Summerslam, which is set to be his next title defense. It's entirely possible he ends up signing another WWE contract and stays beyond that show, whether he retains the title then or not.

Keith Lee and Io Shirai are expected to start at the WWE Performance Center in mid-July. Both have stellar reputations.

The Mae Young Classic is expected to feature a number of Stardom wrestlers. ROH also uses that promotion's talent, so we'll see if some potential WOH end up joining NXT instead.

- Xia Brookside canceled summer appearances for Stardom, so she'll likely be working the MYC. Her father Robbie is a trainer at the WWEPC.

Bobby Fulton retired at age 57 in Ohio. He will continue to promote in the area.

The James Drake working for WWN has changed his name to J.D. Drake to avoid confusion with the UK star.

Shayna Baszler will defend the NXT Women's Championship on WWE's June 19 UK live event against the winner of a June 18 match of Toni Storm vs. Jinny vs. Isla Dawn vs. Killer Kelly. Baszler vs. Storm could be a lot of fun.

William Regal has been absent from NXT due to an unspecified health issue. I hope he's able to return soon.

Seth Rollins vs. Elias for the WWE Intercontinental Championship is official for Money in the Bank.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Indeed it is. WWE will completely change their production schedule around once the deal starts.

2. I don't think he'd be interested. I'm under the impression he doesn't want to stay behind a desk when he could do something more constructive.

3. It was just something people speculated about when UFC was sold. No word on any concrete plans for anyone to buy the company. If someone raised billions of dollars and was willing to let Vince continue to do things his way, he just might do it.

4. Seemingly not very many outside of Africa. The UK and Indian deals are big for them, but I've never heard much about their other contracts.

5. I assume it's in WWE's warehouse now!

More wrestling tomorrow.
