JBL talked about how he sees the future of PPVs for wrestling. Smart man. I think he's on the money here.

The dark match before Smackdown saw FCW Champion Bo Rotundo face off with Joey Ryan, who was one of the planted fans at Summerslam and had a tryout before Raw. We might should keep an eye on this guy as the company continues to look to restructure the roster. In a similar situation to him was Scorpio Sky, who was a "security guard" for Kevin Nash on Monday.

Arena officials in San Diego commented on the white mouse appearing during Raw. Not sure why pranksters decided to go that route, or how they got it in the building in the first place.

PWInsider.com has some new questions up:
1. I think that while the torture rack does look rather silly, coupled with the scoop slams it's a credible way to win. The uranage can indeed be dangerous, and they're trying to protect the workers to a degree (which is why you don't see as many high-flying moves and weapons as during the Attitude Era). As for losing to Rhodes, give it some time to play out. He could easily gain momentum back by a strong showing in the near future.

2. Cena would almost certainly win. It'd be insane to put over the guy who's leaving the company.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with yet another question on John Cena turning heel.

3. It's really not that easy. None of those guys are as over as Cena is right now. It takes time and strong booking to put someone at Cena's level of selling merchandise. The other points are good, however.

4. What they said. I don't know if Laurinaitis (I hate spelling that name) gets to sit around and look through catalogs and magazines or what, but there've been cases where they've stumbled across models and dancers and offered them deals. Some have been more successful than others at adapting to wrestling.

5. Also what they said. This is why people don't get pushed to the top very quickly in the company anymore.

Here are some more videos of WWE 12. The reboot's working well for them.

Competing in this Thursday's X-Division gauntlet will be Jesse Sorensen. He competed in one of the matches leading into Destination X, and has been signed by the company following training in Team 3D's academy.

Here's a list of TNA appearances preceding upcoming house shows. Good synergy with Direct Auto.

Hunico once more donned the mask as Sin Cara at the latest Smackdown taping. It's unknown what this means for the original. They can't just "switch back" to the smaller less-muscular guy after a few weeks and say it's the same person. Maybe they DO go with a feud over who the "real" Sin Cara is. I don't know how they'll handle this going forward, since Mexican fans of Mistico will almost certainly call the company out on the replacement when they head there in October.

Kevin Eck starts with WWE on 8/29.

Here's an excerpt from a Kevin Nash interview that didn't make the WWE Championship book. The remark about not being in the "good ol' boy crew" in WCW is pretty ironic given that the same criticism was leveled in regards to him in the company's final years.

"Inside Out", featuring Triple H will be released theatrically on 9/9. Get ready for tons of trailers. WWE is now looking to only do action, comedy, and horror genres. Smart.

Here's the artwork for the upcoming Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart rivalry DVD. Very '90sish, which makes sense.

K-mart's running a promotion where a free WWE "Fathead" poster comes along with a purchase of over $30 of WWE merchandise. Pretty cool.

Mick Foley remarked that he wasn't hurt by being excluded from WWE's "Greatest Stars of the 21st Century" DVD, seeing as he only had a few matches during that time frame. He wasn't really a "21st century star" since he retired in 2000.

Mattell will have a "Build A Figure" extra for WWE starting with their 2012 line. Each figure in a set will have a piece of the "building" figure, so if you collect all of the other figures, you can make the final one. Pretty clever. Hopefully the final built figure doesn't look thrown together.

Impact Wrestling has been doing pretty well in the UK recently, breaking its own rating records not once but twice in July. It will be interesting to see how things change now that we're somewhat back in the TNA status quo.

Add Booker T. to the list of veterans who feel disrespected by the Young Bucks. Not a good attitude for them to have. I can see Booker's side to this one. He also hinted at an in-ring return. I'd be very ok with that. Him working with some of the younger performers and helping them learn what he's done throughout the years would be great. Especially since Smackdown seems to be short on credible names right now.

Rey Mysterio played up his Raw injury on Twitter. It's possible that he'll be off of TV for a while to sell that storyline injury and his actual knee problems. I wish him a speedy, complete recovery.

That's all for Wednesday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
