Queries on Trish and Sarita, Matt Hardy court date, Questions on DDP, Jake Roberts as Raw GM, Christian, and Del Rio vs. Show, Stone Cold talks Punk and Tough Enough, how Edge got his role on "Haven", WWE's corporate restructuring continues, Ivan Koloff profile, more on Hardy's arrest, Baio and Young on TMZ, Hogan talks with Forbes, TNA changing timeslots in the UK, Hart at Smackdown taping, DiBiase Sr. discusses his sons, Mysterio to undergo surgery, TV taping at house show?, MVP interview, Smackdown rating, and an upcoming FCW release

First, someone asks if Trish Stratus will return to WWE. I really doubt it. Outside of a cameo here and there and Tough Enough, I don't think we'll be seeing her.

The second query of the day asks how long Sarita will wear her new mask. I haven't seen any kind of timeframe. In fact, I don't know if she still "needs" it for her facial paralysis. It could be like Cody Rhodes where they like what it adds to her look so they'll keep it until they decide to go to a different direction.

Matt Hardy will be in court on 9/28 for his DWI and exceeding safe speeds.

Update: Here's his mugshot. Sigh.

Here are my thoughts on PWInsider.com's Monday questions:
1. Some of it might be a case of people remembering Goldberg's streak more than they remember DDP 10+ years after the fact. And some of it could be that Goldberg was treated as a much bigger deal in WWE than DDP was in WWE and TNA. Just a theory.

2. Two words: Wellness Policy. Seriously though, even if he was clean, the man's barely mobile and comprehensible now. I don't want to have to sit through long, rambling promos every week.

3. It's possible, but that's not really a wrestling question.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with an explanation on the Big Show/Alberto Del Rio feud.

4. I'm not really sure what doesn't make sense there. Del Rio, the jerk heel, cared more about his car than the man ran over by it, and threatened to sue for the damage to the car. The fact that that's an unrealistic thing to do is sort of the point: that's how much of a jerk Del Rio is. Them appearing on Smackdown was a bit random, but it's par for the course these days and helped push the show.

They have 5 pretty well covered, so I'll move on.

Stone Cold Steve Austin talked about a possible match with C.M. Punk and confirmed that another season of Tough Enough is in the works. Awesome.

Here's a blurb on Edge getting his role on "Haven". Nice little read.

WWE's corporate changes are catching a number of people in the company by surprise. They're being kept in the dark about some of the changes. Interesting...

WWE has elected a new member of the Board of Directors. Stuart U. Goldfarb (no, seriously, that's his name) will also be part of the Audit Committee. He looks to have a good deal of experience.

Here's an incredibly brief story on Ivan Koloff's church work.

Here are some photos of Eric Young and Scott Baio at the golf course, done by TMZ. Well, at least it's getting press. I wonder how many non-wrestling fans look at the recent stories there and shake their heads, vowing to never watch.

Hulk Hogan was interviewed by Forbes.com, which is a pretty big deal. The part about him being basically bed-ridden for 2 years is a little hard to swallow given how many appearances he made for TNA during that timeframe. He also basically says that he can't wrestle anymore, when he did so last year and barring a swerve TNA seems to be building towards a match between he and Sting. As for him making money when he didn't work, he certainly made money when he wasn't being used in WCW. Kind of a weird piece.

Impact Wrestling is being moved to a new timeslot in the UK. It's doing pretty well there I have to say.

Matt Hardy had another comment about his recent wreck. This is some Charlie Sheen-level stuff. If that's part of a publicity plan or something, it's working.

Update: The arresting offer has stated that Hardy wasn't drinking but may have been doing something else. Blood test results are pending.

Bret Hart will be at this week's Smackdown taping in his hometown. I'd love to see Tyson Kidd and Natalya get heat from an encounter with him, but there's no guarantee that he'll appear onscreen.

Ted DiBiase, Sr. was interviewed in Poughkeepsie. Great read.

Rey Mysterio confirmed that he'll need surgery on his knee soon. It's been a problem area for quite some time. Rey's been taking bumps for over 2 decades now and they're really taking their toll. I think Mysterio's still a fantastic performer and one of the company's top draws, but they can't rely on him forever. That being said, I hope he's able to return sooner rather than later and that he still has a lot to give. In the meantime, hopefully Riley, Morrison, and Kingston can step up to the plate and deliver on the Raw brand after they've all shown promise.

Update: Mysterio is expected to be out for a number of months, quite possibly not returning until a few months into 2012. Time will tell. I wish him the best and hope he doesn't rush it and get injured once more.

Raw's house show on 9/25 is being advertised as featuring matches "taped for telecast". That's pretty interesting. It could just be a typo, but we'll see.

MVP discussed Chris Benoit and his WWE run in a nice interview. It's very tough to decide where that line should be drawn about remembering Benoit. As for the whole "sports entertainment" thing, I'm not buying the complaints. MVP was pretty well defined by his gimmick. His ringwork wasn't bad by any stretch, but he was definitely on the "entertainer" end, more known for his promos and gestures than technique. I can see his complaints about it becoming too much like a job, though. Bottom line, I hope we see him back in one of the major American promotions, as a sports entertainer (whether he calls himself a wrestler or not).

Jimmy Yang has reported that he's finally been paid by TNA. Not a good situation for the company.

Smackdown's rating grew to a 1.86 on Friday. Good to hear coming off a very hot Summerslam.

Finally, Brett DiBiase has asked for and will soon receive his release from FCW after a number of injuries have prevented him from becoming a wrestler. Sometimes things just don't work out like we hope.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading.
