Queries on Melina, Chris Masters, Kozlov and Daffney, Update on Gail Kim, Questions on Hogan, Taker/HBK III, Johnny Curtis, Rey's height, and HHH's insults, Aussie ratings, update on new WWE writer, more releases to come, Chavo talks leaving WWE and more, WWE.com interviews Sheamus, Punk = $$$, Usos on Twitter, note on Sin Cara's return, possible FCW releases (including a 2-time NXT contestant), and Smackdown's rating

A number of queries to start off the day:
1. Melina's future is currently unknown. Some have speculated that her backstage reputation could make TNA think twice about signing her, but this is TNA we're talking about. If they think she can make money for them, and she's willing to work there, I don't see that stopping them. As of now, though, there hasn't been any news about what she's going to do when her no-compete clause is up.

2. Chris Masters made a sly reference to TNA on Twitter after his release, so he just might end up there. I hope so. He's 28 and has been improving over the past few years. They might have another D'Angelo Dinero on their hands.

3. As far as I know, Kozlov wasn't legitimately injured on Smackdown. At least, I haven't heard anything saying that he was.

4. No news on Daffney possibly going to WWE. They tend to go for younger, perkier Divas, with the notable exception of Kharma. I'd like to see it, but since they haven't signed her yet, the chances don't look as good.

While WWE.com has removed the profiles of the four released talents, Gail Kim is still listed as part of the Raw roster. She may technically still be under contract.

Update: WWE hasn't yet decided how to handle her departure, since she quit instead of asking for a release from her contract. The worst-case scenario is that they keep her from working elsewhere until her contract officially expires.

After the break, I go into PWInsider.com's questions and all of the rest of the day's news.

1. There are some questions that we're better off not knowing the answers to.

2. That scenario would definitely work, but I don't see it as very likely. Michaels continues to seem happily retired and there haven't been any signs of him coming back to the ring. And I'm with them in that I don't see what else they could possibly fight over. A re-retirement?

3. Maybe the crickets were the reaction to his latest silly pun? There's definitely a big question mark on how well he'll get over with that build-up. It's all a matter of what he can do when he's in the ring, though. He wasn't bad on NXT, so MAYBE things will work out for him.

4. Yes, by a good foot or so. Hornswoggle on the other hand might not be as lucky.

5. Apparently it's a bodybuilding term for someone who's small but not muscular. I wasn't familiar with the insult either, and assumed Triple H stumbled over his words. Now if someone could only figure out Scott Steiner's promos.

In Australia, Smackdown got 30,000 viewers this past week, while Raw got 25,000. No other wrestling shows cracked the top 100.

The new writer who will work with Triple H with the debuting of new talents will begin at the end of the month.

There are expected to be more releases from WWE. How many, who and when is not yet known.

Chavo Guerrero discussed leaving WWE and a number of other subjects with former WWE writer Dave Lagana.

WWE.com has a new article up talking with Sheamus about Summerslam. Nice. I wish they did things like this for some of the lesser feuds, too.

C.M. Punk's new "Best in the World" shirt has received a LOT of orders online, to the point where they're having to delay some of them being sent out.

The Usos have launched a Twitter account. Like the Bellas, they share an account. I've been impressed with them lately. I hope we see more good things from them.

Sin Cara is in fact returning early from his suspension. Well, sort of. FCW talent Hunico will be portraying the role in place of the former Mistico, at least temporarily.

Speaking of FCW, it looks like a number of their talents have been released as well:
-Bobby Dutch, who I don't know much about. He signed a contract there in 2010, but apparently didn'ttoo much (no titles won there, for instance).
-DeSean Bishop, who also apparently didn't do much in FCW since I can't find much of anything on him. It's developmental; it's going to be kind of chaotic.
-Jason Mullen, another guy who doesn't have much of his developmental career profiled online.
-Lucky Cannon. Now this guy I actually know about. I thought he had improved a good deal over the time we saw him on NXT, but they'd know more about him than I would. It was mostly a case of the "sizzle" being more attractive to me than the "steak" of solid ringwork. He had actually up until recently been the FCW Champion, and an important part of their TV show. Would I recommend him for a main roster spot in WWE or TNA? Probably not. But he was still in developmental, so he was there to get to the point where he would be ready for that. Apparently he had been there for quite some time (dating back to 2008), so maybe they felt it was time for more return on their investment.
-Sonia. I'd heard good things about Sonia, but haven't seen much of her work. Supposedly she was more of a wrestler than a Diva, so that might have had something to do with her not being used.

FCW also removed the three profiles they just put up the other day, so I'm guessing they weren't supposed to put them up yet. Whether this means they might not actually be part of the company is unknown.

Finally, Smackdown got a 1.84 rating on Friday. Thankfully some of the fans who tuned in for Triple H's appearance might have stuck around. It's a long process to get casual fans into regular viewers, though.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
