Questions on WWE using Nash, continuing Punk/Cena, Samoa Joe, Ryder-Hardy, and Christian, Lawler wrestles on Raw house show, another out-there Hardy video, and notable interviews with Morgan, Chavo, and the Nasty Boys

Today's news starts off with questions sent in to PWInsider.com. Here's my take on them:
1. It should. In theory, the angle's a good way to get some of the older fans to tune back in and see what's going on, and for Punk to get the rub from Nash. In practice, a lot of the current audience doesn't know who Nash is and/or didn't see him in his prime, so it won't mean as much as it should when Punk (hopefully) gets the win. The older audience might see Kevin Nash, 6-time World Champion, nWo member, and future Hall of Famer, but the newer audience sees Kevin Nash, 52-year-old who Punk can work circles around.

2. Sounds great on paper (well, computer screen). Punk vs. Cena for 4 straight months might be a little hard to pull off, and Del Rio would need to get out of the shuffle he was somewhat lost in pre-Summerslam, but other than that I really like it.

3. You mean the guy who's going around injuring people? This is actually one of the times it looks like they might have something for him. If they screw up this angle, then I'll jump back on the "TNA dropping the ball with him" bandwagon, but for now I'm cautiously optimistic they might use him right in the near future. And for whatever reason WWE didn't want to sign him a few months back when his contract was up. That would have been a pretty big deal. Hopefully next go-round he gets a closer look from the company. If he can still go to a good degree, I'd be all for him getting a shot there.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's questions and news, starting with a comparison between Zack Ryder and Matt Hardy.

4. I disagree that Ryder made his entire fanbase on the internet. A good deal of it has been boosted by his recent online activities, but there were definitely fans of his work before then (myself included). His run on the ECW brand was pretty solid. As for the comparison, I don't think there's any correlation. Ryder's playing up his character to get noticed, while Hardy is umm... documenting his life I guess would be a way to put it.

5. I also hope we continue to see Christian in a big role on Smackdown. Sheamus seems like an obvious choice once Henry "officially" moves on to Orton, but they could surprise us and have him feud with someone who's still coming up the ranks like Bryan, Sin Cara, or Ezekiel Jackson, all of whom he's had good matches with in the recent past. Christian's able to work with just about anyone.

Jerry "The King" Lawler competed on a recent Raw house show in his hometown of Memphis, TN. This is likely just a special occurrence and not indicative of a "comeback".

Matt Hardy has another video (from around a month ago) getting press. This is some bizarre combination of fascinating, worrying, and disturbing. I don't know what this man needs, or if there's even a "cure" or treatment for it, but I hope he gets it. I don't even know what to say for some of this stuff.

Matt Morgan was interviewed in conjunction with his "Made" appearance. I agree with him about humble personalities not selling tickets.

Chavo Guerrero had some pretty interesting comments in an interview of his own. I can see why he left now. When you get older and have a family, it's much tougher to be on that kind of schedule. The family part is one of the reasons why I'm not so sure that this guy's going to be successful in WWE.

Anyway, as for the C.M. Punk comments, I agree there, too. Good listen from a guy who knows his stuff.

The Nasty Boys also had an interview recently. Two years of feuding with Team 3D? I think I'll pass. They were really limited in the mobility and workrate department, and had backstage issues to boot. They should be glad that they lasted as long as they did; WWE wouldn't put up with that kind of crap.

That's all for Sunday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
