Why Smackdown house show was canceled, Keenan update, Punk talks Nash and more, house show promo pieces, Piper shoots, Foley to watch WWE with fans for charity, more house show changes, Questions on Punk, tag teams, Foley, Mania in St. Louis, and Gail Kim, MMA fighter not coming to WWE, Italian WWE lawuit update, Flair's legal issues profiled, WWE opens office in Turkey, WWE.com talks to Barrett, what Michael Tarver's angle was leading to, fun with Punk and Austin, and Seth Rollins takes a shot at John Morrison

This contains a minor spoiler for next week's Raw:
The Smackdown house show for Monday was canceled because at least some of the Smackdown stars will be on Raw that night. This could theoretically boost Raw's rating in addition to promoting Super Smackdown.

Sterling James Keenan has been rechristened Corey Graves in FCW. Fine by me. I wish him the best there.

C.M. Punk had a brief but good Q&A in Chicago.

Here are two pieces promoting upcoming WWE house shows. The first features comments from Ted DiBiase working a Raw house show in front of his home crowd. The second mentions Harley Race as a guest host.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper had some choice words for the current landscape of wrestling, hinting at a return. He's always good for a nostalgia pop. I hope we get Piper's Pit on a hypothetical Old School Raw later this year.

Mick Foley has a new charity raffle up. Pretty awesome idea.

In yet more house show changes, WWE has postponed an event in Tyler, TX on 10/10 and removed a 12/5 event in Albany, GA from their website.

Up next, I go into PWInsider.com's questions and the rest of the day's news, starting with a look at C.M. Punk's contract status.

1. All I know is that WWE wanted him to sign for 5 years, and he didn't want to. I don't know where negotiations went from there, unfortunately.

2. Maybe, if they really want to make the division important. That team better be used well in building up the others, though. The Dudleys might have it left in them based on their recent work, but I'm not 100% sure. Harlem Heat I don't think would mean as much given how long ago they were teaming on TV. Miz and Morrison shouldn't happen based on their characters now, but Miz/R-Truth could work.

3. I like that idea. I think I'd keep him as Mick Foley, though. More people know him as that role than Cactus Jack. He can definitely reach into that persona in the angle, however. The only concerns would be how well he can work and talk at this stage of his career. The last few years haven't been so grand from him.

4. I don't think they're looking much further than WM28 at the moment. If they put up a good enough offer to WWE, I can see them doing it though.

5. Not much of one. I think they'd have her do/say more if it was.

An MMA fighter by the name Cris Cyborg won't be coming to WWE after all, despite the offer being floated around at one point.

WWE has filed for a default order in a lawsuit against an Italian company.

Here's a long list of reasons Ric Flair isn't at the top of the world despite all the money he's made. We need a Ron Simmons "Damn" at the end of that one. It's insane.

WWE has opened an office in Istanbul, Turkey as part of its plan to grow in the Central Asian market. Nice.

WWE.com has a good storyline interview with Wade Barrett. He's a big prospect.

Michael Tarver discussed what WWE had planned for him with his backstage vignettes. There were plenty of people wondering what was going on with those. I think they could have done good things with it, possibly putting him with The Corre. There seemed to be issues between WWE and Tarver, though.

Some entertaining Twitter messages arose today from C.M. Punk and Stone Cold (among others) stemming from a discussion on beer. They've got to face off some day, right? Please?

Seth Rollins, formerly Tyler Black in ROH, took a shot at John Morrison on Formspring. Some are speculating this is storyline-related. He seems like a pretty smart guy on his other answers.

That's all for Thursday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
