Queries on Tough Enough and Mattel-WWE, X-Division performer claiming he wasn't paid by TNA, Questions on Sid's injury, Kharma's pregnancy, nudity in WWE films, Foley's books, and Blitzkrieg, AXXESS line-up changes, Sheamus on Conan video, WWE stars sound off on Punk/Cena, Rhodes interview, stars at anti-bullying event, Del Rio and Bryan interviews, more from Eric Young, Miz challenges Mysterio, no DWTS for Hogan, Impact Wrestling rating, and WWE's anti-bullying campaign profiled

For today's queries:
1. I haven't heard any updates on a new season of Tough Enough. Even if/when they do greenlight it, they have to go through a whole new batch of casting and the like, so it would be a while before we saw it on TV.

2. I don't think wrestlers have to sign any kind of special contract to be made as action figures. It's likely covered in their regular deals, which give the companies the rights to use/market their likenesses.

Jimmy (Wang) Yang is claiming that he has yet to be paid by TNA for his match from June outside of a bounced check. Part of me wants them to just go under, BUT it'd be much better for the business if they got their act together and we had 2 solid national wrestling companies. It gets harder and harder to think that will happen sometimes, though.

PWInsider.com has some new questions up to analyze:
1. No. It was almost certainly legitimate. If it was a storyline, they made an incredibly convincingly gruesome injury on live PPV. An injury that Sid would have had to have sold for years past WCW's purchase by the WWF, given that he walked with a cane for quite some time. Him suing WCW in an actual court over the injury would also have had to have been a huge farce. I've heard some dumb conspiracy theories, but that one might take the cake.

2. To believe that she's not pregnant is to believe that WWE would throw away all that momentum she had built to take her off of TV, and pay her, for an entire year. Another pretty stupid notion. Anyway, I haven't heard of there being any heat on her for the pregnancy, and I don't know if it's been acknowledged who the father is.

After the break, I look at the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with whether we'll see a WWE Diva nude in a future film.
3. There's definitely an audience that would want to see it. That sort of publicity certainly helped Black Swan get some male viewers. Then again, there's part of the audience who would just wait to catch that part online somewhere. As for whether WWE would do it, not with their current direction. When was the last time they even had something like a bikini contest or pillow fight? I mean, they had a whole Divas' season of NXT and didn't go in that direction, even with several former models on the cast. As for who I'd pick, I plead the fifth because that isn't really relative to wrestling.

4. Does Mick Foley ever retire from anything? I kid. I certainly wouldn't rule it out, though there really isn't much that he hasn't already covered. Maybe in a couple of years, though.

5. Apparently he's a nurse now. He used to be a computer technician. He doesn't wrestle anymore.

There have been some line-up changes for WWE's Summerslam AXXESS. C.M. Punk and Zack Ryder have been added, while Sin Cara was removed due to his Wellness suspension. Presumably someone would be able to tell that Hunico's handwriting isn't the same as his, so they can't just switch who's under the mask.

WWE has posted clips from Sheamus' appearance on Conan. I'm disappointed that the band didn't do a version of his theme, but other than that this was good.

WWE also has a video of superstars discussing the Cena vs. Punk match at Summerslam, which is pretty cool.

Cody Rhodes gave an interview about his love for comics. Hey, press is press. I'm still waiting on that Marvel.com interview with AJ Lee.

A number of celebrities were present at WWE's recent anti-bullying event.

Alberto Del Rio was interviewed to promote Summerslam.

Daniel Bryan talked WWE '12 and more with ESPN.com. Great read. He's definitely really good with kicks and submissions and I'm glad he's adapted that to WWE. His current music's a great middle ground between blaring rock track and the opera of his previous song. I didn't see him as leader of Nexus at all. Barrett won NXT and brought the others with him; of course he'd be the leader.

And while WWE uses online media to add fire to its upcoming PPV, TNA uses it to... show more of Eric Young chasing Scott Baio. This isn't exactly Tyson-Austin.

The Miz challenged Rey Mysterio in a recent video interview. If that goes down and where they go with it depends on the condition of Rey's knee.

Hulk Hogan has once more turned down Dancing With The Stars. Thank goodness; I see enough of him on TV already.

Impact Wrestling did a 1.07 this week vs. Week 2 of the current season of Jersey Shore and an NFL pre-season game. That's still a disappointing rating coming off the aftermath of Sting vs. Angle.

Here's another Daniel Bryan interview. He's right about the Michael Cole nerd comments. I picture nerds as collecting action figures and obsessing about Star Wars moreso than being a vegan who doesn't own a TV. Cole's an odd one. I'm glad he's taking Regal's advice. I hope more people there do. He knows far too much to not be learned from. He's also dead-on about commentary. I'm personally amused by Cole, but his antics don't get over what's going on in the ring. That should be his job.

Finally, WWE's anti-bullying campaign was profiled in LA.

That's all for Friday's news. More to come tomorrow, and a Summerslam preview will also be up at some point this weekend.
